Yeah, unfortunately we have deprecated fields and calculated fields that non-admins want/need to see or report on. So while I originally tried to hide these, I don't anymore. As time goes on I may have to have two levels of "admin" sections (one I can hide, one I cannot).
I just deactivated all the built-in or ones provided by our implementaton specialist. After that you can filter by Active. We figured having a library to get ideas from wasn't necessarily a bad thing, so why delete them. I never used them, but a new admin we brought on already has used a couple of t...
As @Randy Roberts‚ said, removing it will mean you know have to explicitly say who can see it (say, when creating new projects, using templates, starting a request, etc.), which truly is best practice. Just use a similar interface/technique to how we rename column headers in views/reports. (Similar to: Why do I have to use...
I'll PM, since I don't want to get into a position where I seem like I am endorsing (a corporate no-no) vendors and products. If you have specific questions I'm happy to answer. I've been at this DAM thing a little too long, so let me go get my DAM cane to get the whippersnappers off my lawn…
