  • How about using checkboxes instead of radio buttons? You can use scripting to make them mutually exclusive and you wouldn't have to fool around with the extra fields. The appearance to the user is identical to radio buttons.

  • Would it work if you placed a protected text field behind the radio button you want to highlight and changed the border on that? The effect for the user would be the same and the scripting would be easier to manage.

  • No problem, happy to help. If I'm not mistaken you can legally install the same copy of Acrobat on 2 machines, maybe your admin could put it on your machine for you?

  • My apologies, since Designer ships with Acrobat I assumed you had both programs installed. You can't enable forms in Designer, you can only enable them through Acrobat or Reader Extensions.

  • It sounds like your users are accessing the form using Reader. If this is the case, you'll need to enable the form so Reader users can save a copy of the actual pdf. To enable the form, open it in Acrobat and click on the Advanced tab. Select Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader from the drop-down li...

  • I went in and checked the XML on the ROOM field, the vAlign is set to "bottom" there. Iakov, have you tried to change it in the XML to "middle"? If it works, it would be easier than replacing the field.

  • I did check it, when I opened the form the horizontal alignment on the ROOM field was set to bottom. If it's not working for the field when you try to change it, you might try deleting the field and re-creating it. It's possible it's become corrupted for some reason. When I opened the form here thou...

  • You need to select Align Middle for the height on your paragraph tab. If you don't see a Paragraph tab you can hit Shift + F5 to open it up. You will see alignment options for horizontal and vertical alignment. I've attached a screenshot below to help you.

  • One other thing, apparently the tooltip will not display for any object that isn't an input field. I tried using the Image Field object and setting the access to protected using a script. When I leave the field changeable, the tooltip shows. When I put the script in to make the field protected, the ...

  • It's definitely not high tech but it works with minimal effort. You'll just need to check to be sure the text field is in front of the image or the tooltip may not show.
