We are actively working on a similar app to Adobe Content Viewer for DPS 2015, but it'll take us a couple of releases to complete. We do understand the need for it!Neil

As a matter of fact, yes! It was totally my fault too, I forgot all about those URLs and so the dev team on Android didn’t know to do them. We fixed it this sprint and it’ll work in our next release, due in about a week.Neil

Once we support app rotation the situation you describe should work fine. Your existing content will show horizontal. When the PDF resource is loaded it'll come up horizontal as well, but your reader can rotate the device to see it portrait.Neil
