Hello Devs,I created a login functionality, which uses CUG credentials for authentication. It requests /j_security_check servlet for authentication. The functionality throws 404 when triggered over dispatcher. I also allowed the request to the servlet path in the dispatcher configs, but unfortunately it is not a success. Can you suggest some way to allow the post request to reach the AEM server.Thanks Folks...

I have a component with client lib having the category - cq.authoring.dialog(to have the events triggered on dialog load). When i drop this component on the experience fragment page and try to edit the component, the events do not fire based on the actions (ex: click of a check box, enables a text area) that i do on the component's dialog. But the same works when i refresh the experience page after dropping the component. How can i achieve the functionality to fire the events, merely just after ...

I am using event handler to detect page creation. But i have to now distinguish the page creation between the "create" option and "copy" of a page. In both the cases the modification type is "pageCreated", so how to differentiate the two.Many Thanks for any solutions and guidance.

thanks for your response, i have approximately 180 pages under a cq:page node, i understand that the content of a page is loaded only when we request the resource(page). But in this case there are few custom columns (overlayed the /libs/wcm/core/content/common/availablecolumns) added to the sites dashboard, which fetch values from the jcr:content node of the page. There is call to overlayed customcell.html (/libs/cq/gui/components/common/admin/listview/customcell) which calls a customcell.js, th...

hi All,There are many pages created under a cq:page node on sites. When i try to open that particular hierarchy containing all the pages, i get too many calls exception. On investigation it is found that there are some js calls, which is required by the project.So request calls(High)=number of pages*js calls per pageIncreasing the number of calls per request from the Apache Sling Main Servlet Configuration solves the issue, but there is a threshold to it, it cannot be made too high.Any suggestio...

The validation can be easily made by customizing POST.jsp present in createpagewizard. The /libs/cq/gui/components/siteadmin/admin/createpagewizard/page/POST.jsp (createpagewizard) can be overlayed in the similar hierarchical fashion as in /libs to /apps and then do the custom modifications for the exceptions based on the validation criteria.

By validating i mean, if the author has configured that field or not(mandatory field), i am trying to do a similar kind of implementation that we have for page title in our ootb.

hi All,I have a requirement to validate a custom assetpicker field for my overlayed pageProperties dialog, in the similar fashion how the page title is getting validated. The validation for the ootb page title is handled from "/libs/cq/gui/components/siteadmin/admin/createpagewizard/page/POST.jsp", but i could not find a way on how to customize it to my needs. The assetpicker is being marked up on the dialog using coral ui(render.jsp) and the same is used on my cq:dialog. Many thanks for your re...

Sharing my research and concept on the subject Tags Picker Vs Tag Field. Go for Tags Field (/libs/cq/gui/components/coral/common/form/tagfield) as the other is deprecated from 6.3. The validation can be easily made on the field by simply applying the property required(Boolean) true. Thanks Scott for the guidance.

hi All,I have set required(Boolean) true for the overlayed tagpicker widget.(/libs/cq/gui/components/common/tagspicker/render.jsp) This widget is used as a part of my custom page properties. But even though i select a single value in the tagpicker, the create button is not enabled. I observed that i have to at least select two tagpicker values to qualify the required(Boolean) criteria. Please help me on this issue.Many thanks for your responses.

hi All,I have to validate the fields in a dialog and show a consolidated alert message for the missing fields. I have an approach using validator register (but works for one argument) and i dont know for some reason "dialog-closed" touch ui event handler is not working in the js file(no error in compilation).Any robust approach guys.Thanks for responses.$.validator.register({selector: '.testcls',validate: function(el) {var value = el.val();if (value==' ') {alert("Cannot be null");}}});
