Do you see anything in the error.log file?

Check if you are getting any errors in the Browser console. Check for any errors in the logs files? I would recommend tailing the error.log when you perform these operations.

Have you tried removing required="{Boolean}true"

Which nodes under /libs did you overlay for the wizard?

Sling dynamic include[1] is your best choice if only some part of the page is dynamic but if the whole page is generated dynamically, you can look into thread/heap dumps and increase CPU/Memory based on the results.[1] Set up Sling Dynamic Include
