When creating alerts the content arrives as a un-sorted list in an e-mail. This is a problem when you are alerting on itmes that have a large number of values e.g you can't sort the content easily. Last 7 days is too long a time when using Omniture to detect quickly moving trends on sites with large amounts of traffic.  Today and yesterday often do not fit requirements.

The main issue with the report suite summary is that it lacks any context e.g no easy way to MOM, YOY or any indication of a metric performance over time. So the idea is to add plenty of context options to this reportlet to make it more useful.
