I would like a real-time streaming API to be made a available for
consumption. A streaming API should be able to provide a firehose of
filtered analytics data via a continuous open data contection. By it's
nature a streaming API is lossy (in that if client does not gather and
aggregate the data in their app then that data is not made available via
that API again). The API simply streams filtered analytics data that is
being collected at that point in time. Datasift.com have a similar
It would be nice if we had similar controls for publishing widgets as
dashboard reportlets. I would like to control if a widget will show the
gaph, details and summary items of a report. This would help build more
dashboard like applications using this approach compared to what's
possible right now.
The AMA refers to the number of viewers tuned in to the average minute
of a video. Average minute audience (AMA) – part of BBM’s television
ratings system, this provides information on the average number of
viewers in this time period.
In this day and age it's perfectly possible to replicate Discover
interface in to a web application. It would be great to see Discover
functionality sit along side normal SiteCatalyst functionality in a
single web interface. Adobe could still offer the products seperately
but maybe a standard SiteCatalyst interface and a SiteCatalyst +
Discover Interface with the following benefits :-Some advantages
features that this would enable :- Ability to include discover reports
and data point in standard...
At CBS we are struggling. The main area we hit this issue is managing
consistent variables across many sites, apps, video, mobile sites, TV
apps. When using a roll-up report suite we need to avoid overlapping
variables and as such it's quite easy to start running out of variables.
Take for example the new mobile integration it uses around 15 variables
so once you start reserving variables and avoiding overlap.
I am integreating a number of legacy sites with huge back catalogs of
content which needs to be classified. Legacy content is infequently
accessed as such it could be weeks / months before some items get a page
view. This means I must set a schduled to classify the entire
back-catalog picking up new values as we go. This means uploading large
multiple files with a huge number of lines which have no effect. I
suspect there's a better way to do this. I would like a feature where I
could do a singl...
We use v15 and lot's of users forget to select the correct version. So
here are some suggestions. 1) Support something like this for a v15
specific login page https://sc2.omniture.com/login/v15/2) Then allow for
the admin to set this on a company wide level. So when new users are
created and we send an e-mail to them they get the v15 link not the
general http://my.omniture.com link in the welcome e-mail.
Here are some things that don't copy currently :-1) Custom Menu
Structure2) Custom Reports3) Custom Bot Rules4) Admin Report Suite Level
Segmentation5) Video Reporting SettingsBetter still perhaps you could
provide a bunch of check boxes so we can choose what get's copied over
from the original report suite
I often find that I need to define a page view container segment with a
number of rules inside the segment set where any rule can match. However
I often then find I would like to have a additional AND page view
container. But this is not possible I would like it to be possible.
Example Page View Container 1- Any of the following 5 author ID's AND
Page View Container 2- Where Country GEO = UK However this is not
possible. I can start with a visit container but that brings back data I
do not want ...
Connected TV's are becoming more common where possible Omniture should
identify connected TV's and include them in all the mobile device
reports including device type reports. Also consider renaming mobile
reports to device reports or something similar.
When hovering over a row in a table that line should highlight so it
makes it easy for users to see the whole row of data. This currently
works well in the report interface but is not available on all admin UI
elements such as dashboard manager, user administration etcSee the table
example on this link :-
Yes indeed I had the job of creating 53 identical user segments apart
from a single value and what I found that 1 out of about 3 segment
builder loads took over 20 secs, this really impacted the length of time
this task took.
Understanding a site from a hierarchal view is essential to any
analytics implementation however SiteCatalyst falls a little short in
what can be offered outside of the use of classifcation heirarchies. I
would like to see s.hier variable ability to pull any calculated metric
or sucess event along side the basic metrics available today. I would
also like to see the ability to define evar based heirarchies similar to
how we can with classifcations heirarchies today but on standard evars
There are a number of common situations where I would like to be able to
classify an item with multiple values. Examples :- A single story id
that has multiple authors A single story id that has multiple tags A
product that has multiple categories A download that has multiple OS's
etc etc I would expect by default for full allocation of metrics based
on the key value across each multple value.
60mins of latency is too long please decrease the latency on data in v15
I think somewhere between 15mins to 10 mins would be ideal. Not
decreasing latency is an important issue even if you get round to
providing real-time functionality unless you move all data points to a
near real-time update frequency.
In this day and age free API access is becoming increasingly common for
all enterprise and SMB level products. This is particularly common in
the SAAS world. Yet Adobe are still taking a pay for token approach to
API access. At the end of the day clients are hitting your API via the
sitecatalyst reporting API (un-restricted), via report builder
(un-restricted), via data warehouse (un-restricted), via SAINT
(un-restricted), via Dashboards (un-restricted) etc etc Yet if we want
to hit your API dir...
I have a network of bloggers who blog on a single site. I would like to
give them access to data around just the content they publish e.g not
the entire site. So do this today I create dashboards with page view
segments restricting the view to pages where specific author is present.
This works but our authors want more up to date data and direct access
to reports. So I would like to set up users with permissions access to a
specific segment when that use logs in they only have access to that
Often you have sitecatalyst open through out the day dipping in out of
reports and the current expiry causing problems with logging out in the
middle of work. Please extend the time out to something significantly
longer e.g 8hrs.
