Re: Multiple Email Recipients & Submit Button Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,you are not in the right forum's category. You should post it in LiveCycle Designer for instance. To answer your request, there are two ways to design it:1) The PDF form submit the data to LiveCycle (Java service on the server-side) that sends PDF copies to the three recipients.2) You create a "sned by email" submit button. The user that fills the form will sends the result to the three recipients. You may also consider Adobe Acrobat Pro if you plan to design small workflows.

Re: Populating 100K rows in Advanced Data Grid from LCDS Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
You should try to setup a Data Management architecture. The tag will help you to activate data-paging and handle your memory issue.

I think that SpringSource is working on a distribution that includes LCDS and that should answer your needs.

Re: Producer/Consumer java client Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
I've already seen a demo with a Java client that communicates with a Flex client threw a LCDS.But the Java client was using directly JMS.I don't understand why you need to connect Java Client to LCDS. It's easier to use a classic Java Messaging architecture as JMS.If you need to synchronize Java clients with Flex clients, then just plug your Flex clients to JMS topic using LCDS.

Re: Informations about Single-CPU License Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
You may be speaking about the LiveCycle Data Express edition. If your application only uses LCDS 2.6 then the express fits the requirements that you describe. You can use that edition.Be careful with the new versions of LiveCycle Data Services. The version 3 is a beta version available on labs. There is no Express edition for this beta and Adobe didn't announce any LCDS 3 Express edition. You have to wait the public availability of LCDS 3 to see if the business model changes.

Re: 2 LCDS (Data services) related questions Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
If you plan to use LCDS 3 beta, you should consider the new Advanced Messaging Support, and specially the Reliable messaging system.A video presents this new architecture : http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/livecycle_dataservices3/videos/

Re: Populating data in xml forms Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
You shouldn't consider Livecycle Data Services to do so.LiveCycle Forms provides Java API that can merge PDF forms with XML data (RenderForm method). This LiveCycle components produces interactive PDF forms. If you need to produce static PDF files merging a form and XML data, consider LiveCycle Output ES.

Re: Connecting and sending data to web service Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
Be careful, your question should be posted in "LiveCycle Reader Extensions" forum. LiveCycle Data Services doesn't deal with these features.Nevertheless, to use webService calls from a PDF opened in the free Adobe Reader, you need to Reader extend your form. You can use Acrobat Pro to extend it if the PDF will not be used by more than 500 people. If you plan to reach more than 500 people, then you must consider LiveCycle Reader Extensions. This limitation is explained in the Acrobat EULA.The final...

Re: Working with attachments Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
Thanks Path. Indeed, all your advices are working. But what I need is to get the list of attachments just after a user initiates the process within LC Workspace.Imagine this simple process:- a user starts a process within LC workspace and attach files. It initiates the process "copyme"- the first step of "copyme" needs to get the attachments and copy them on the file system. > I don't know how to get the list of attachments...

Working with attachments Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi all, I have a simple question.I've designed a process with LCES 8.2.1. To start my process, I've setup "Task Manager" endpoint. The user can login within LiveCycle Workspace ES, start the process. It displays a Form Guide when the user can fill-in my form and add attachments. Then he clicks on Submit. What is need is to store the attachments in a variable to get the names of the files. I've noticed that when I add a "User" step in my workflow, I can assign a "list of documents" variable to the ...

You should look at the FlexClientListener Java class in the LCDS sdk:http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/es/sdkHelp/programmer/lcdsjavadoc/flex/messaging/client/FlexClientListener.html

Re: Secure part of a document Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
Maybe you can generate PDF packages. If the first page of a document is confidential, then create a single-page PDF and protect it with LCRM.Using Acrobat 9, you can merge this protected PDF file with another one. It will create a "PDF package".When a user will open the PDF package, it will ask for an authentification to open the first document only.If you need to automate the creation of PDF packages on the server-side, then you should use the Assembler API (available with LC PDF Generator, LC P...

Re: PDF Generation with LiveCycle Data Services Michael_Chaize - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi Guillaume, there is no limitation. Dynamic PDF files can be generated with Livecycle Data Services. You should have a look at the XML file generated by your Flex code. Try to save it and see how the XML file behaves when you generate a PDF preview with Designer. You can go to the menu: File > Properties > Preview > Use XML test data...With the XFAHelper class, you can either load a PDF or a XDP file. Have you tried with a XDP ?I've attached a dynamic PDF file that I've created for a customer. ...
