Why do docs suggest Manual allocation better for characterizing performance? - Adobe Target 15-03-2021
Hi guysKeen to use auto-allocate to test a new feature on one of our critical metrics however docs suggest Manual allocation is better for 'characterizing performance' but I cant understand why can someone elaborate?https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/activities/auto-allocate/automated-traffic-allocation.html?lang=en#section_3F73B0818A634E4AAAA60A37B502BFF9Cheers

user.activeActivities always null in Profile Script? - Adobe Target 11-03-2020
Hi I'd like to create a test that isnt expose to visitors qualifying for a specific test earlier in the journey i.e. on homepage.I tried creating the following Profile Script and using this in my audience but based on debugging/ trace it seems like activeActivities always returns an empty array in the profile script.if(!user.get('not_in_homepage_activity')){ if(user.activeActivities.indexOf(123456) == -1){ return 'true'; } }How can i resolve this?

Re: Control group in Adobe Target EXT - Adobe Target 15-01-2020
@Docea any reason why you wouldnt setup a normal A/B test and have each of the 5 segments setup as an experience audience and 20% allocated to A (control)?

Re: Passing in dynamic data into offer without reloading... - Adobe Target 14-01-2020
Hi @Paul_M_Anderson we sometimes trigger activities based click events etc using the getOffer() in the handler to retrieve the activity. I assume you could do the same thing and pass your profile params and then within the loaded offer utilise those paramsadobe.target.getOffer({ "mbox": "target-global-mbox", "params": { "a": 1, "b": 2, "profile.age": 27, "profile.gender": "male" }, "success": function(offer) { adobe.target.applyOffer( { "mbox": "target-global-mbox", "offer": offer } ); }, "error...

Re: Sending analytics metrics into target - Adobe Target 14-01-2020
Talking to our Adobe CSM today currently theres no way to see auto allocate and Auto-target tests in AA even with A4T 😞 (also Auto-target is premium only) . Not getting this data into AA is a bit of a blocker for us given AA for analysis. The kicker - if you you do run a test with auto allocate/target and dont have enough volume i dont think theres a way to get any of sort data out of Target ? But i stand to be corrected.

Re: Creating global control segments? - Adobe Target 26-11-2019
Hi Mike, thanks for sharing so it sounds there is a limitation in using AAM in that visitors wont be allocated into test/control audiences until next page which, for for the most part i dont think will impact experiments that target behaviour that happened previously. Can you offer any advice on creating holistic control group in AAM or Target across multiple activities?

Creating global control segments? - Adobe Target 26-11-2019
Hi has anyone created global controls for A/B testing and personalisation programs? And how did you do it? I was thinking of using AAM and the Audience Lab feature to create some broad, mutually exclusive audiences with a control segment with say 10% allocation. Then mapping the treatment segments only to Target for usage in A/B test audiences.Thoughts?CheersRichard

Are there problems with Confidence calc when using goals metrics which a visitor may convert multiple times? - Adobe Target 23-01-2019
Hi we consistently seem to have issues reaching any confidence with tests whereby visitors may convert multiple times for the goal metric. It seems to 'throw out' the test duration calculations. Is this a known phenomenon with using such goal metrics that i should be aware of ?Our current approach which is laborious is exporting data via DW and then using the Adobe offline calculator (Excel doc) and calculating conversions as any 'visitor who has 1 or more instances of the given success event'. I...
