I am trying to incorporate Pauls lock all script and Nials password protected access when a button is clicked. Is there a way to have that lock all button/script only work when the password entered is correct? Also a way to unlock it by someone who has a password?

This situation is confusing, I know. And i've asked this before so I am sorry but I have not gotten an answer in over a month of searching. I'm going to give it another try.Anyway, I want to know if my situation will violate the 500 limit EULA agreement. I have been reading loads of posts but nothing is really similar to what I'm doing. Here it goes...The plan is for me to design a dynamic form (which I have), and we are going to post it on our company internal website. The form generally will be...

I know nothing about javascript and all that ive been using so far has been stuff ive found on here (thank you everyone).Using the action builder seems like its gonna be very tedious to do since i have so many subforms that hide, would it be esier to use javascript?

Is this possible? I basically got in to a bit of trouble for not paying attention at some of the meetings and it seems that we have controls in place in one region where only 1 person can see part of the form before everyone else, while the other part can be viewed by everyone. An I allowed to just send that one that everyone can see to the people who need? It doesn't seem possible when I think about it but I thought I'd ask.

I am studying for exams and dont really get to study much because of work and I have recently purchased flashcards for the subject that are in XML format. The flashcards are opened through a program that comes with them, and its just a basic small flashcard looking box. Very simple.Well the problem I have is that I want to study at work but cant install any unapproved software. But i was wondering if I could create a flashcard form that will display the xml data for me so I can look like im work...

Unfortunately that is the only practical solution that I have come up with. But ha! Yeah, that is exactly what I'm using. Well now a least I know what is causing the problem. So you're saying an IF statement should fix that? I'll definitely look into it. Thank you sir, you are a good man.

Niall,Please let me know what you think of this solution. What if I don't enable the form(s)? Instead I get the user to submit the XML data. If all is well, I can import the XML data into a locked form and forward it to the 80 people that need it in the company. If, however, after reviewing it, something needs to be changed, I can import the XML data into the form with a submit button at the bottom and resend it to the user to make the necessary changes. When he or she opens it, the data will be ...

So from my understanding, I can send the form to 500 people and collect unlimited responses from them OR I can send the form to and unlimited number of people but only collect 500 responses.I guess I'll be inadvertently doing the latter because technically its like sending it to an unlimited number of people because more than 500 recipients can theoretically can access the form since its on a websiteDoes that mean that each time a person submits, however many times that person submits a form, ea...

What is the best way to set up a review process, without violating the EULA and having a form that is editable by the end user AFTER it is submitted.Basically the process will go like this..1. A user will log onto our website and click a link where he or she downloads a dynamic form. 2. The user will submit the form to multiple parties at once. (Conditional e-mail, depending on what sections in the form are filled out, different people will get the form)3. The form will get reviewed, and if any ...

Why when I import the XML data into a dynamic form, it turns the dynamic form into a static form and I see everything, even the items that are not filled out and should be hidden.

My form has a section (subform) on top that is always open and then below it it is dynamic and I want certain subforms and sections to open based on users input. I am using the action builder to open the form and have all the fields hidden, but I have way too many subforms and have to individually hide all subforms. Is there a code that will hide all fields for me when the form opens and then I can use the action builder to just open what I need based on a dropdown or radio button? Thanks!

ahaha! you learned something from me today haha. I wonder if the same goes for earlier versions of IE like 6 or 7. I'll be sure to find out. Man, youre completely bumming me out, I definitely thought too highly of LifeCycle before knowing all the facts. A main thing is distributing the data to other people after the form is completed as well as sending the information back to the original user to add/change something in the form if need be. That is why the import/export function was so important...

Niall, this is all such good information. it's a bit dissapointing that I am finding this out now, but hopefully ill find a way to work around it. A cuple questions for you, Have you been using internet explorer 9 to open your dynamic forms lately? it seems that the forms render within the browser when I use explorer (8 or 9) however, it is different when I use Safari or Chrome. I get that please wait message that basically means it wont open unless they save it. If it works with explorer, then ...

So tell me, what is the point of even having dynamic forms if they wont open. How can they be used? Is it only for large businesses that will pay the thousands of dollars to get a server? Also, youre saying that my ONLY option is a static form? Can I still upload it and just have them save it to their computer? I think the main thing with me is having it accessible to the end users when they need it. I can almost use the website as a folder and have them download the blank form, fill it out and s...

Niall,Is that really the case? I was under the impression that dynamic forms will open in a browser, that that is one of the ways to render them. This reallllly sucks and im screwed....That was my whole paln. Is there a way a to test this? I am creating a form for work and have no access to a server until mid-december when the IT guy was going to help me put it on our site. Is there a way that I could post a web form on a site to see it it would work? I dont have much experience with websites bu...

Adobe Reader is free and pretty much a standard to have. Wouldn't it be easier to just make it a webform that opens up as a PDF in their browser?

Srini, putting them on a website as a link is exactly what I am trying to do. This is possible with acroforms but when i convert my acroform to a livecycle form, i seem to lose that functionality because of the XML nature that it now has. I work in a small department and no one wants to pay money to purchase something else. We meet the 500 user EULA for sure.If you know how I can do this and where I can get more information, I would apprecate it. I am freaking out at work because I got everyones...

Steve, If I create an AcroForm in Acrobat I have the ability to embed the form in a website so users can access them. This functionality seems to go away when I use LiveCycle. Is there a way around it? We need our users to have access to forms via the internet (embedding them). We have a very small department and meet the EULA license. Please let me know, your help will be greatly appreciated. I am an intern and my managers have tasked me with this project and I have no experience with it. Thank...

I am hoping you can answer another question for me. Its regarding distribution. It seems that forms can only be filled out when they are sent you the person which seems kind of laboring and we don’t have time to have people request that they need to fill out a form, and then us sending it to them.Is there a way to have the form on a website that allows people to access it, fill it out, and submit it whenever they need to? Instead of asking to send it to them?
