Re: xlsx-Export for Workspace Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
ursboller and darkstar1313This is great feedback - thank you again. It sounds like removing the thousands separator on CSV download (but leaving the decimal point, if applicable), or providing an option to remove it on CSV download, would be a great win that would satisfy most of peoples' problems. We will definitely look into doing this in the near future!Unfortunately, there are many technical reasons why providing a scalable and maintainable XLSX export is difficult and a big lift. We are s...

Re: xlsx-Export for Workspace Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Great feedback, everyone - thank you for this detail. We have considered supporting XLSX export format for Workspace for a while, but it is a big lift technically. We will continue to consider it for the future, but it sounds like we could mitigate most of the current pain sooner by adding a few custom CSV export settings (such as thousand separators, date formatting, etc). Is this accurate? If so, is it just those two settings (thousands separators / date formatting), or are there others we wou...

Re: Workspace "Compare" columns with more flexibility Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Thank you everyone for your interest and comments on this thread. There are many ideas being discussed here. We have discussed many of them internally and have several on the roadmap already. Unfortunately, they are not easy to solve in a generic way (which is why some of these things have appeared "buggy" - they actually are all working as designed for various reasons - but we understand that they do not always work ideally for your various use cases). We know this comparison functionality is r...

Re: Include Data Labels in Table Visualizations with Metric Values Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Great - I completely agree on the line/bar charts - this is on the roadmap.I'm really sorry, but I still am not sure what you're referring to on tables. On Freeform tables, there is a total cell at the top that shows the total (don't need to hover; shows up in PDF). And I don't believe we show any totals on hover. Can you show me an example? Thanks.

Re: Analysis Workspace - Share Segments that are applied to shared Calculated Metrics Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Hi Susan,Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, the nested segment is not shared with the user, correct? Sharing only makes it so the segment shows up in the left rail in Workspace, it shouldn't have any bearing on whether the segment can be previewed, or even edited/viewed in the segment builder. Can the user click on the preview and see the definition that way?

Great callout - I think you are right, and those are great suggestions (I believe #2 does seem like the more correct option). We will consider for a future release - thanks!

Re: Ability to add metrics to the difference score Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Brian,Thanks for your thoughts. I'd love to hear more about your use case. Would your ideal be a whitelist instead? We actually used to have a whitelist, but we changed it to a blacklist, because it seems that most of our customers want the algorithm to find metrics/dimensions/segments that they wouldn't think of (that would be different across to the two segments being compared), and only exclude those components that really don't make sense.Even though the blacklist might not be exactly what y...

Re: Ability to add metrics to the difference score Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Hi Brian,When setting up a segment comparison, you should be able to click on "Show Advanced Settings", and from there you can exclude dimensions/metrics/segments that you do NOT want to be included in the analysis (so it's a blacklist, not a whitelist). This mechanism provides a way for you to get rid of anything obvious or irrelevant, and then let the algorithm find anything else interesting for you.

Re: Create a set custom date range with a right click Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
This is a great idea - thank you. Good news - we already have plans to do something like this - we are considering adding a way to save a custom date range directly from the calendar. In the meantime, one shortcut that may help a little is that you can drag your current date range from the right-hand date selector and drop it into any table, segment dropzone, etc. This will not create a "public" segment that is available in your list, but it makes it so you can use it elsewhere in the project.

Yeah - we are considering something similar to that for when we do multiple report suites.

Re: Year over Year alerts Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Thank you for all of this detail. We do many things in our anomaly detection algorithm, YoY comparison is one of them. It *should* detect these things for you, and if it's not, we can investigate. Currently, we don't allow for more granular dissection of the anomaly detection algorithm, but we can certainly consider it (or something like it) for the future. We will pass this information (your above details) to our data science team to investigate. Thank you!

Re: Workspace Schedule : Recipients : Publishing Lists Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Great suggestion - this is definitely on our backlog. I believe there is a duplicate issue of this request on the forums already that you could vote up.BTW, imagine a Workspace world where you could have multiple report suites in the same project - would a publishing list report suite override ALL of the report suites in the project?

Re: On right click of dimensions/metrics/segments items within left panel provide create segment option Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Great thank you. We will consider for a future release - I like it.One other note - did you know that you can drag anything (ie, dimension item(s)) into the segment dropzone in a panel, and it will convert it to a segment automatically for you? So in your use case above, instead of creating a segment from a dimension item and then dragging that segment into each panel dropzone, you could simply drag the dimension item into each segment dropzone and have the same effect (and the segments that are...

Re: Allow numerical operations on eVars in Segment builder Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Great suggestion - we are considering this for a future release (we have thought about it many times). In the meantime, you may be able to use an event (metric) to get what you're wanting. What is your use case? You can create segments with metrics by using "is greater than", etc. And you can scope the segment to hit/visit/visitor depending on what you're trying to accomplish. Or if you are simply trying to visualize this into buckets, you can use the histogram with a "hit" container.

So you are hoping it would trigger more often? (ie, to match your table) - is that correct?

Re: Toggle segments Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
I apologize, as I'm sure I'm missing something, but it seems like you should be able to do this a few ways using the panel dropdowns. Are they mutually exclusive? ie, you only want one selected at a time? If so, you can either put the two segments in the same dropdown, and force the user to only select one. Or, if you have two dropdowns (like you do above), you can "disable" one of them by selecting "No filter" in that dropdown.

Re: On right click of dimensions/metrics/segments items within left panel provide create segment option Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Thanks for the suggestion! Just so I'm understanding correctly, if you have a component (specifically a dimension item) selected in the left rail, you would like to have some right-click options available such as create segment and create calculated metric - is that correct? Would the newly-created segment or calc metric show up in the left rail immediately under their respective section?

Re: Copy, Re-order the entire drop zone (or parts of it) between panels in the same workspace project. Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
You should be able to copy a panel dropdown from one panel to another by simply dragging and dropping it to the other panel dropzone (or duplicating the panel). We do have a small bug which we are going to fix which won't let you drag-and-drop a panel dropdown to another dropzone is "no filter" is selected. But you can workaround this by selecting something else first (in the meantime). You currently can't re-order items in the panel dropdowns, but we are considering this for a future release (th...

As I was reading your first paragraph, I thought of the panel dropdowns feature. Where does this fall short for your use case?

Re: Year over Year alerts Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
If you create an alert based on that normal metric, and set it to trigger on anomalies, it should automatically trigger on a YoY anomaly (it checks a bunch of things, including YoY). So give that a try, and if it is not catching it, please let us know and we can investigate further.

Re: Year over Year alerts Brandon_George_ - Adobe Analytics
Thanks for the clarification - we actually do perform YoY analysis within our Anomaly Detection algorithm, so if you have a daily alert setup to alert on anomalies, it should find those. If it's not, it would be great to know a little bit more about your data so we can investigate.
