Thanks for the detail! I think I'm getting closer to understanding - I
believe what you're asking for is to drop a dimension on the fallout viz
(ie, right by the "All Visits" legend series label), and it would create
the top 5 items as 5 different segments (and thus 5 different fallout
colors on the same viz) - is that correct? If so, I think this is a good
suggestion and we will consider it for an upcoming release. As a
temporary workaround, how many different app ids are you hoping to
Thanks for the idea - just to make sure I'm understanding correctly - do
you want the ability to drop a full dimension (not dimension item) on
the fallout legend so that it creates segments out of the top 5 (like
Freeform uses the top 5 dimension items)? If so, that is a good idea and
I like it. Would it be just as easy to drill into a specific dimension
in the left rail (by clicking on the arrow), and then hand-picking the
ones you want and dropping them into the fallout legend? This you should...
Hi jdungan - thanks for the feedback. It sounds like you may have
encountered a bug (it shouldn't be checking for anomalies if you have it
turned off). Can you please report it through customer care and we'll
get it addressed? Thanks.
Great suggestion - this is definitely on our roadmap. In the meantime,
you can duplicate the existing panel and then delete the other
visualizations in the newly-copied panel. I know this won't always do
what you need (ie, moving a visualization from one panel to another
existing panel), but it may help you in some situations.
We have been hearing this more and more and realize it's a high priority
feature for many of you. It is definitely on our roadmap and we are
trying to figure out the best way to solve it so that it's scalable for
everyone going forward (I wish it were a quick thing to add, but there
are some tough thing to address when solving it). We have not forgotten
in and will continue to prioritize it as appropriate.
Thank you all for all the great feedback - we know this is an important
feature to have. We are actively trying to figure out the best design
for how this feature will scale within Workspace and with all the
features we currently have there. We have iterated through multiple
designs, and are still trying to land on the right experience for
everyone. We have not forgotten about it - it is still a high priority
Thanks for the feedback - a few notes here:- The reason calculated
metrics are not supported in histograms is because histograms use
segments to calculate the bucket totals. Calculated metrics are not
supported within segments (segments ARE supported within calculated
metrics, however). There are many reasons for why this is the case -
much of the time it doesn't make sense (we recognize that sometimes it
does), etc - and we would need make some major platform changes to make
this happen. Howeve...
You can now create custom rolling date ranges and use them within
Analysis Workspace, and also use them within segments (which means you
can then put these rolling date range segments in calculated metrics).
Aliskinkv - good news, we are actively working on an initiative to allow
you to do exactly that - hide/rename standard dimensions/metrics, etc.
In the meantime, you can use project curation in Workspace to hide all
of the things you don't want to show up in a given project.
