why stop there.  how about a single tool combining reports & analytics and discover.  With standard/premium it seems silly to have two tools.... just make one super product. easier said then done im sure. : )

Can we make calcuated metrics created in Ad Hoc Analysis (Discover) available in Reports and Analytics (Site Catalyst)?  Ad Hoc Analysis gives you the ability to create calculated metrics with segments.  This would create much more powerful reporting options in Reports and Analytics.

I manage calculated metrics for over 200 report suites.  Because there are so many report suites, it takes forever (5+ minutes) to enter the caclulated metrics section with the admin panel and then another 5+ minutes to save a new metric. It would be great if this process could be sped up.

one additional thought... i am not sure how a 'group' feature would impact the activation of rules.  Could all applicable rules be 'auto-activated' or reactivated all at once?

This still works for me so I am not sure if your issue is local to you. One thing I will add is if you have a segment applied to a reportlet it has never carried over once you swith report suites.
