@JakeCham, This looks like an AEM product issue, I have tested your scenario on an AEM 6.5 instance. Tested on Chrome and Firefox. Firefox is allowing all characters, while Chrome is only allowing numeric characters (as expected). You can post this bug in the "ideas" portal within this AEM community...Questions
