Experiencing problems today w/ publishing on the Dashboard. Anyone else experiencing issues? Can't publish nor Preflight. The process starts, and just hangs, until it errors out about 10 minutes later.

Well, there are a few ways you could do this, as a non-tech savvy designer as well! Have you ever used Muse? It's a tool by Adobe available in the Creative Suite whose interface is similar to InDesign, PS, or AI - but instead of generating print media, it creates HTML pages. You could probably get up to speed on it within a few hours, and create the HTML page for your PDF links pretty easily, without any code at all! There is also a Beta version of Muse that can create responsive web pages so th...

Pamela, is it possible to host your PDFs online? If so, you could use an article w/ hyperlinks to open the PDFs, or set up a banner for each and have each banner open individual PDFs. We are working with a team to develop an HTML solution that packages the PDF with an HTML file, and is then packaged into an article - individual article for each PDF, but it doesn't sound like that would be a solution for you either.

Yep! That's what it was - it appears as though once the new Layout Beta was released, the "Default Layout" has gotten corrupt or something. The TLC is the only place that the Default was applied and seemed to work ok, until I tried to modify it. Thanks for the fix!-Tommy

Unless I am wrong, and I am never wrong... just kidding, that's from The Princess Bride... As the platform currently functions, a project with 2 TLCs, each collection that requires a different layout between tablet and phone, requires a duplicate collection so that those same cards, w/ same rules can be applied to a different layout, correct?Wouldn't it make sense that, IF a project has 2 TLCs, then each collection should be able to be assigned 2 layouts??? It's very confusing when you have two ...

Sure Tommy! If you just do a Google search for what you've asked, you'll quickly find a link to the installers. But for convenience, here's the link:http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=182&platform=Macintosh

Can someone please direct me to the DPS Plugin installer for InDesign? Something has become corrupt (I'm assuming) within InDesign, and I can no longer export articles. I know it's nothing to do with the InDesign file itself as 1.) this is happening with each file I try to export, when I could export from that file last week, and 2.) a work colleague can export from the file without an issue. I'd like to try reinstalling the plugins, however, I haven't seen a link to them since pre-release! I kn...

Anyone else experiencing this? I've tried the Preflight button several times. I've changed the contents of the article files (actually used a different article file, rather than just an updated on) and the updates are not pushing through the the installed DPS Preflight app.

Is this possible? I'm developing several article files that I've been uploading to a test project environment. However, each of these tests, if successful, will be ultimately uploaded into a live project environment. There is no local version of these articles as they were created through the PDF conversion tool. Is there currently any way to move an article amongst projects? Or, will I have to recreate the article for each project it needs to appear within?

So Neil, we're still in a quandary regarding these converted PDF articles... They are working great, and look great! However, it is critical to the client that these PDF articles are "embedded" and therefore available for offline viewing. Since they are not part of any collection (as orphan articles), is there anyway to have them explicitly downloaded, prior to being downloaded at view time?

Is there a way to view the file size of an article from within the dashboard? some APIs and/or article converters upload the generated article files directly to the Adobe cloud and therefore a local version of the article file does not exist. How can we view the file size of these auto-uploaded articles?

That's the route we're going to experiment with... I agree that it should work. We'll need to keep all of the PDF articles within a collection, but hidden so they're not able to be swiped to... I'll keep you updated on it.

Are there any plans to implement HTML Resources into DPS 2015?The new PDF to DPS converter tool, is great and does a great job - though still has a few hiccups, however, it isn't going to work for our scenario. We need embedded content that will open in an in-app window, allow us to explore the content, then close and be right were we were within the app. As an article, we can not duplicate that experience. We could duplicate the experience by hosting the PDFs online, however, since these are pr...

I'd like some resources for integrating DPS with a CMS - more specifically, WordPress. This is an area I haven't delved into yet, so if there are any articles, or threads or even a link to the API, I'd appreciate anything you're willing to share! Thanks!Tommy
