Hi All, I'm trying to understand when you would ever use a prop? It sounds like eVars can just be set on everything (page and link calls). I don't see the point where I would ever need to use a prop in analysis... Thanks!

Hi All, I'm curious when I should be including props and/or eVars into link tracking. My understanding is an eVar can do everything a prop cannot and a prop cannot do everything an eVar can. Should I always be looking at and using just eVars in both page tracking and link tracking?  Thanks!

What I am saying is that if the variable isn't explicitly set on subsequent hits (links, page views, etc.), if the value persists and I have a hit level segment, will it capture all those subsequent hits or just the initially loaded one...

Hi @igupta , I don't want to overwrite it. I just want a segment that will includeall activity from strictly the tracking codes that I segment on the hit level and with the evar that persists until the visit ends or overwritten. I don't think visit achieves this. Hits can occur for persisted evars, ...
