1) If you switch over to the Summary tab, it will give you the two lines.2) Not sure what you mean by this, but can you edit the report, click on the planned and actual cost columns, and set it to summarize by SUM?
we’ve been able to do this through the desktop proofing tool by creating an interactive proof. Unfortunately that would leave the door open for your marketing partner to also edit the proof.
is it possible to get around this by changing your life after death settings located in your Setup area? I think one of the project preferences was to allow tasks to be added?

my guess is that your report filter has too many levels. If this is the case you might be better off resorting to an exists statement. if I recall correctly, bulk editing tasks is a Plan license functionality. (if they have plan licenses you may also need to make sure they have manage permission on their tasks)
