  • Hi Greg, A predecessor would usually be used to indicate that the successor task can't start until the predecessor is completed (i.e. Finish-to-Start constraint). Obviously there are other constraint types, but that is the most common one. In your example, it sounds like there is not really that...

  • Hi Greg, To set the Duration, you need to put the 'H' (or 'D' etc) in the 'setDurationType' column, and not in the 'setDurationUnit' column. Not very intuitive but it works for me! When doing this, it automatically sets the Planned Hours to the same as the Duration, which may be fine for you. I ...

  • Hi Linden, Apologies for the delay as I have been on a good long holiday... I do like your idea of being able to have multiple milestone paths on a project and then selecting which you want to use when reporting. Whilst not quite the same, I actually submitted a feature request for a Visio-sty...

  • Thanks for your interest, Doug! We haven't (yet) gone to the lengths of creating a unique schedule per project and switching "on" the go-live weekend. What we have been doing up until now is setting the project with the standard schedule for that country/state, and then for the go-live weekend, ...

  • Hi Eric, If the project is for delivery to a customer in a specific country, and if it is important to consider their schedule due to public holidays during planning, I would still recommend applying a country-specific schedule to the project. This means that it will take into account the local ho...

  • Hi Doug, Thanks for the welcome back! I've had a look at the video and read through the thread regarding the scope you used to build the tool. It looks like it should work for us. I will discuss with those who hold the purse strings. I've got a bit to catch up on, so any answer on this will like...

  • Hi Alex, I am floored (in a good way) that you have engaged in the community in this way, and so early. I know you will be busy and won't be on here regularly but thank you for participating. I feel that my company, Pentana Solutions, has a lot in common with Workfront and regardless of some iss...

  • Hi Doug, Thanks for taking the time to provide your detailed advice. That's one of the things that makes the community so valuable to me....getting real world feedback from users and experienced third party implementers/integrators such as yourself. I will trial this with a department or two and...

  • Michael has started the first hashtag for the community #NoMoreCommitDates Yes, the calendar on the My Work tab confuses users no end because of its use of commit dates. We have told users to disregard it completely and go to their other calendars. We really need to be able to give users a calendar ...
