Hi, @ReluctantProgrammer @PulkitJain has shown you a JS function which will modify the value which you would then put into the field. There is an alternative approach. Assuming that this is an interactive form you use a Numeric Field and then place the following script in the Exit event:if (this.rawValue <10) {this.format.picture.value = "num{z,zzz,zz9.9}";} else {this.format.picture.value = "num{z,zzz,zz9}";} This will not change the value, only the display pattern. The result for your numbers:

If you cannot change the form then this will become very difficult. You cannot use single fields for repeating sections. You will have to modify the stucture to match your requirements. Even any binding changes will have to run through testing and QA - you might as well adapt your form to be properly in synch with your data. For the users it will be the same afterwards - if not even better 🙂

Hi again @LucreciousDFF,it may not be the most strategic approach to open another question on a topic that was difficult to understand in the first place. Your description here did not help 🙂What you are trying to achieve will not work in the way you show in the screenshot. Pagination is event driven. The logic you try here asks it to paginate when the object is on page 1 - that cannot work because this is not an event but a situation. And you cannot relayout() in the conditional break - this i...

Hi @srujan1981, as Pulkit says it is possible to switch but that switch might not show on tasks that have already been instantiated. If you changed the profile for the XDP from PDF to HTML it should shiow on tasks that arrive in the worklist after the change was deployed. Tasks that have entered the worklist with the old profile continue to use the old profile until they step out and the process moves to another task.

ok, which part is the dynamic here? The content before the notification subform? Does the notification subform flow with the content? Is the notification subform fixed height or also dynamic? Pagination triggers whenever the remaining space on the content area is used up. I doubt that the conditional page break will work like this. I still struggle with the overall structure of your form. In my experience it is the simplest and sequential approaches that work best. Trying to force pagination in ...

@LucreciousDFF I think the solution to your requirement lies in using master pages to place your "bottom subform"The design I have here looks as follows:Masterpage 1 with reduced content area and subform at the bottom:Your output page must be flowed for thisI use another flowed subform to dynamicaly create n number of lines to test. With less than page full of lines the result isWhen the content exceeds the pageand with more stuff coming from the dynamic partDoes that fit your requirement? The sam...

🙂 I am not sure I get this. I try: You have 2 master pages. Normally you want your content to jump frm master page 1 to master page 2 when the pagination occurs. But if a dynamic subform floats it should stay on master page 1 on page break. The next page break should then go to master page 2 again?

We did not find a root cause for the error message. It also does not appear on other installations. The system in question went through a migration/upgrade chain from an older version, the repository was also updated several times. There is no Support case with this error. The assumption is that the repository might have been corrupted during the upgrade and migration steps. The function works in the source version but not in the upgraded (in-place).When installing 6.5.8 from scratch this error d...

Even the experts need help from time to time ... I have AEM Forms JEE 6.5.8 on WebSphere 9 and a simple adaptive form with attachment button and submit. The submit points to an orchestration with dataxml and fileAttachmentList input parameters. The AF is based on a schema and "Generate DoR" option enabled. When I press submit it fails with this error:Caused by: com.adobe.document.xmlform.InvalidXDCException: IDL:com/adobe/document/xmlform/InvalidXDCException:1.0Have you seen this before?ThanksKo...

Hi @nowackem, sorry that I did not respond to this earlier. Real life and work did take all the time I would have for things like this form.I did attempt to implement your logic. At first it looked as if I was succesful but then I realized that on the following sections I did get the wrong sums, the dependencies between the various sections and sums proofed a bit more complex than I had thought initially. So far I have no solution for you that fits into this form. And at the moment I do not have ...

Hi @bob_w1 , I am afraid this is not possible. Not with the Designer writing to a PDF which you then pass on to others. You may be able to provide a link and then the browser could be called from Reader opening the page 2 PDF in a different window. But to include this into the design and display it as part of your PDF is not possible. The use case would be more for AEM Forms server using Assembler functionality. There you could assemble a PDF from different sources and as a result you get your 3 p...

Your screenshot doesn't really allow to analyze this problem. But, when things move beyond the page boundaries and "slide" down like that, it usually is a sign that your page setup and floating context or the setting for page breaks (pagination) are wrong. It simply does not throw a new page but continues to fill content into the void below your page.

Hi @manu-gupta ,I am not sure why your Document variable is disposed before you use it in your DDX. But I have created a sample of a dynamic form which would produce the kind of blank pages depending on the number of content pages.See here https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:e101914c-4172-4668-937a-223e97aba5b4It works based on 2 fields in the XML data1XYZ1765If the printflag is 1 then the additional pages are shown, otherwise they stay hidden. bid is the business id ...

Hi @manu-guptaLet's go through your points and get some clarifications:re 4.: does this mean that the PDF that you generate with DocumentService is not immediately used for assembly but goes directly to the customer as is? What is the difference between a flat PDF from DocService and the "Print version"? I am not sure I understand the sequence of events fully yet.re 6.: What do you mean with "we need to add a 1 Number dynamically to PDF"? Page numbers? Or is this some kind of transaction ID that...

Find some more ideas regarding your assembly: This will take your XDP (all can be placed in the inputs map as Document objects in your java), render it as flat, no-XFA PDF with XML data coming from another Document object in the inputs map. Finally I add a BlankPage at the end (it can be positioned anywhere with DDX). DDX is very versatile but outside simple example such as this, it is not always easily visible how you could do things. If you leave the NoXFA out you get an interactive XFA ...

as you have OSGi Workbench will not help you. But there are AEM Forms workflows you could use instead of Java programming. There is also an Assembler step available. BTW, there is a Blankpage DDX tag which adds a blank page without a file. If your empty page is really empty that might be an option. DDX reference: https://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/help/en/experience-manager/6-5/forms/pdf/ddxRef.pdf

You would not need to get the formname unless you use it to dispay something. The "Name" part in DDX and inputs map is free to use. The Map only needs to have the same string key as the name in the DDX. You could actually use "name" literally for both. No need to modify the document. And are you sure the disposed state refers to your rendered document? Having this other info DDX may actually cause the originally rendered document to be disposed of (basically a form of garbage collection). What d...

You can use the AssemblerService API withAssemblerResult invoke(Document ddx, Map inputs, AssemblerOptionSpec environment) throws OperationExceptionThe DDX would contain . you build a map for inputs where your document is an entry with String key "Name" and an com.adobe.aemfd.docmanager.Document object containing the document from the OutputService.generatePDFOutput() call.

Hello @Apurva1_12 ,you are generating XFA based PDFs which can only be opened in Acrobat/Reader or in a browser that still supports the Acrobat/Reader plugin. IE11 is the only one that still does. That is why it works. All other browsers have stopped supporting the old plugin architecture and use their own inbuilt PDF rendering. This does not support XFA based PDFs. I am afraid there is no workaround for that apart from using IE11 as browser which is not for the long future. Alternatively the PD...

If this is to be a PDF with Designer this is how you can do this:Place a drop-down like thisAnd a static text object for which you want to change the tool-tip (what Acrobat floating texts are called here). When you select the drop-down the text is used to change the tool-tip.
