Hi @fogharty ,the labels will not break lines and \n or will also not work.In this case simply design your field without caption (turn it off in Layout) and place a Text object right above it.Captions are static as well. With this approach you even could use floating fields if needed.Design the Text object with Paragraph Bottom so that the text is aligned with the top of your field. But you could also tweak it by changing height and move it.To get the line borders around it in the same way I ar...

@Saikumar1 , @PulkitJain gave you a good list of things to check. To give us the error use the Copy to Clipboard button and then post the message here.See also AEM LiveCycle Connector (adobe.com)Do you use SSL (https in url)?

Hi,as @PulkitJain says you crete LCA from application level like thisYou can even choose and pick individual elements (or leave them out)To add a component you must create a Component Reference in your application. When you create the LCA now the component reference is part of it:

When you create a form in Designer then you would not add AcroJS scripting afterwards. Designer has a full feature of scripting and events defined in XFA (see Designer Scripting Reference (adobe.com)). The blue highlighting usually is produced by the PDF viewer and is not part of the PDF definition. Usually it can be turned off in the viewing environment. The javascript you want to add is AcroJS and a different scripting model. It would only work if you display the PDF in Acrobat or Reader (stand...

the others have spotted the issue with the field name. Generally: Never use operators such as "-" or "+" in a field name even if Designer does not prevent you from doing so. Latest in scripting will this fall on your toes. If you want to structure your field names use "_" or camel case like quantumScience ...

@angelawatson you were quite close but the problem with your code at that event is: you are trying to overwrite the selection while it is still processing it. So even if you change, by the end of the change eevent it gets overwritten.I tried a different event (exit) for that second part and it seems to do what you want:Script in Exit:this.font.fill.color.value = "0,0,0";var txtMsg ="You have chosen "+ this.formattedValue +". Are you sure? Select Yes or No.";if(xfa.host.messageBox(txtMsg, "Confir...

@shyamasundar-ks , I did test this in Acrobat Pro and had no problem, with an empty path/filename the dialog opens. Then I went to a different system where I have Adobe Reader installed. I tried the same thing and it did not work. I applied Reader Extensions with Acrobat Pro on the PDF to allow saving data. But Reader still rejects it with the same message I see on your debugger.I did some research and it seems that the exportData method is not working in Adobe Reader even with Reader Extensions...

Hi @pranaym48551345 , this is not an issue but works as designed.Master page and Content pages work differently and are handled at different times in the event hierarchy. The feature of hiding a button upon pressing it will work on Content pages. Having a singular button on the Master page and hide itself on click will also work (although it makes no sense in this case). But the moment you are affecting other objects (buttons) in different context, the render engine will prevent this button from...

@pranaym48551345 Tomcat is just a web server and web-container. You can use it for AEM Forms OSGi. BUT the JEE stack also contains enterprise beans and other things that Tomcat does not offer. So there will be no way to run your JEE stack on Tomcat.Other application servers (even if they would support EJBs) cannot be used because there are native components and appserver specific libraries and components which will not work outside the ones mentioned here.

@shyamasundar-ks as I thought you have a security related issue.See Designer Scripting Reference (adobe.com) and look for exportDataThere it saysFor security reasons, if you provide the first parameter, the exportData method executes only when performed on certified documents. If you do not provide the first parameter, the document does not need to be certified and the user is prompted to provide a location and filename. Only the user is prompted option will work OOTB. Certification can only be ...

Hi @shyamasundar-ks,what kind of issues? Save functionality is restricted by the Acrobat/Reader security module as the save functionality might be used harmfully.See JavaScript for Acrobat API Reference (adobe.com) and find saveas function. It has a red S for security. This means (quote):For security reasons, this property or method may be available only during certain events. These events include batch processing, application start, or execution within the console. (See the event object for det...

Hi @ReluctantProgrammer ,hence your name 🙂 I think the offender is the this.rawValue==null == is a comparator not an assignment. Here my guess at what you wanted to do:if (headFtExistingMain10.rawValue == null) {this.rawValue = null} else {this.rawValue = (Math.round(hweFtMain10.rawValue*10)/10)+(Math.round(headFtExistingMain10.rawValue*10)/10)}I think if headFtExistingMain10 is null also set this field to null, correct? Try this and see if that fixes it.Kosta

yes, and for me the hint lies in the #float[0]. You are trying to set a float field with the value True. Try 1 or 0 if that makes sense in your logic.

Hi Leena,I had a closer look and found out that the HTML form is always transferring the whole XFA scripting, no matter what the point of execution. I guess the only way to hide functionality is to run the secret logic as part of a prefill data orchestration and possibly invoke orchestrations via SOAP Dataconnection when running JEE stack or custom services in the OSGi variant of Forms.I learned something about HTML forms I did not realize before...Kosta

Hi @kalyana ,missing those 2 and using a PDF library to modify the PDF outside do not work together well.If you are using a java lib you could create the image, make a base64 of the content and then add this in a tag of your data like IUZG897VBGUZG.... Then skip the QRcode object and do not mess with the PDF outside - use an image field of XFA, bind the data tag to it and you should see your QRcode as an image all the time.Kosta

Hi @Leena_1 ,no, the "source code" you are referring to is the active part which make the form work in the browser. These forms are not processed by the dispatcher, they render inside the browser. You can try to move critical scripts to server (in script event you have the option to run script Client, Server or both). But that is not a general solution and depends on the use case and sequence of events. Kosta

Hi @Asuryan37What you show here is not a dynamic design but a static one. You want to see the number at Designtime not when rendered."Macros" as you call them do not exist at designtime. This is not Word 🙂 To see the result you use the Preview and check against the rendered result. My sample will als work with fixed design and fixed number of items, I just assumed you wanted the table to grow at runtime.I have created forms and tables in many variations. XFA offers good dynamic features, especia...

tabels are just a fancy construct of subforms and fields 🙂 you can do the same with subforms instances and fields inside the subform. 🙂

Assuming this is a AEM Forms Designer formIf you have a dynamic table you an use the index of the parent (Row1) (0 based that is why I add 1)When you add a line (here I add a t a fixed position) and use remerge the Numbers will recalculate.

Hi @manu-gupta the Reader Extension will not help when the PDF is basically a static PDF running via DocuSign (which might mess with it further). The QRCode XFA object needs to be rendered in the Forms environment (either at client inside Adobe Acrobat or Reader with Reader Extensions or at server in AEM Forms). At the time of instantiating the PDF in the browser I am sure the QRCode object did not render and will not in this usecase. You seem to have AEM Forms server (looking at PDFFormRenderOpt...

Hi @Leena_1,Assuming that you use forms either for rendering services (orchestrations) or BPM (interactive workflows)...The XDP files are stored in the "repository" and are linked to the applications you set up. References are stored in the Forms database, the assets themselves in the CRX repository. You can find them in /content/dam/formsanddocuments//No files are stored in the application server filepath. Upgrading ES4 or AEM Forms 6.1 to 3 is a process with many steps. The upgrade procedure w...

@manu-gupta there are some conflicting facts in your description.Interactive XFA PDF cannot be opened in browsers without the Reader/Acrobat plugin. The Reader Extensions also only work inside Reader/Acrobat.Additionally, QR Code and other 2D barcodes need a special Reader Extension to be written decrypted, otherwise you require AEM Forms Barcoded Forms (Right "BarcodePlaintext" which is a separate right and will not come by default). It is possible that the QR Code shows but did you scan it and...
