@Zahed3570 yes, let's assume it is PDF and Designer and not Adaptive Form - here is how the Drop-Down would look like:The list of options is defined here as shownand important the Binding tab to be set like this:And then the result is as @gbedekar describes it in his XML data. You can even use 01,02,03,04 as values here if that is what you require.

Not sure if you found a solution but I can offer some explanations:I have a complex process which uses a custom render orchestration which stitches XDPs together and modifies the data and then returns a PDF with reader extensions. When I started to migrate this to HTML (experimental) I had to go about it completely differently because I did not get my form rendered and data prefilled. I re-designed my whole form to not being stitched (HTML renderer cannot pick it up - it must be accessible in the...

ok, I think I can see the problem. CHI is a numeric field and not a text field. Therefore the CHId is not a string but a digital number - that means that "0101191234" is actually a numeric value of 101191234. That cannot be dismantled with substring.Change the CHI field to textfield and then try again.I tested your fields with the correct type and then it works:To force format and length of CHI limit max charactersDisplay and validation patterns text{9999999999} and error on validation

A few remarks if it still does not work: @radzmar said that you should place this in the EXIT event NOT the calculate event as you wrote in your first comment. This script must be in the date input field and NOT the numeric field as in my example because this is a different approach.

Hi,you have a typo in your DDX roatate90="90" must be rotate90="90"I am not sure that the tagging is the problem, the DDX works with tagged and untagged documents here.regarding 1.: The watermark must be associated to a set of surfaces in a PDF tag which is done in the way you have done it. I don't think you can do it more simple than that.regarding 2.: Not that I know of, but I also don't think that tagging is your problem. What kind of PDF are you using? Do you have dynamic XFA?There may be ot...

ok, age calculationTextField 2 is set in calculate event like thatvar id = TextField1.rawValue;"19" + id.substring(4,6)+"-"+id.substring(2,4)+"-"+id.substring(0,2)+"T00:00:00"BUT your approach has a weakness - 2 digit years cannot be interpreted correctly 20 can be 1920 and 2020 - you may need either 4 digits or come up with some rule how to detect the century. Javascript uses 120 for 2020 and 20 for 1920.Calculate in Age Field:var now = new Date();var today = new Date(now.getYear(),now.getMonth...

🙂 here is one very simple approach using strings and substrings:In the calculate event of the second text field I have the following javascript code: var id = TextField1.rawValue; //10 digit id from 1st fieldid.substring(0,2)+"-"+id.substring(2,4)+"-"+id.substring(4,6) The substring extract the day, month and year - how you combine them in the date string is up to you.

Hi,to explain why you cannot combine the XFA PDF with others:Assembling PDFs only works with the same "type" of PDF.The most common form of PDFs is what I call the Print-PDF. That is what the majority of PDFs out there are. Then there are special variants such as XFA PDFs. These need a plug-in in Adobe Reader or Acrobat to render them in their final form while being opened.Because these two are so different, it is not possible to combine them in Acrobat. You can "flatten" your XFA PDF (it will not...

Hi, in general lines and rectangles are fixed objects that you can place on your form, but there they are then. Size fixed, position relatively fixed (depending on where you place them - in a flowed subform it might move with the previous content). If the line is part of the document and for example must be placed at a specific position (e.g. Masterpage) or if you have a signature box that really is just an empty rectangle at a position in the document flow, then you can use the line/rectangle o...

As Mayank says, if you still have IE11 and installed Adobe Reader with the browser plugin activated (in Preferences of Reader look for Internet and follow instructions if not activated). But to be clear: this use case is deprecated and will not work for much longer. The organization that wants you to sign PDF like that must offer alternatives (such as download and upload) or use services like Adobe Sign.

That would be great, wouldn't it 🙂 I am afraid though - these 2 are so different that there is no tool to convert an orchestration into an AEM workflow or some custom service. You will have to develop it from scratch. The APIs are somewhat similar but not equal. If there is migration support then for the assets (XFA, Adaptive Forms or Interactive Communication). But that would not help you with the application.

We need more details here. 1) AEM Forms version; 2) What Browser; 3) Where are you editing? Document Fragments (Texts...) or the Multichannel Editor of the IC? 4) Was this from the beginning or did it occur later in the game?

Hi,I am in the category stubborn - I tried a completely different approach, throwing away your table and creating it with subforms. Now, there are compromises. Can become more complex, and the left column text will only show in the first row - which can also grow too much if you have a lot of text in there. But the page breaks look quite ok. There is script in the left text field - you may have to adapt depending on what should be shown on the left. As I say, not perfect...Check out my XDP https:...

Hi,first of all see this URL which is one of the very few practical examples documented that I could find.https://khushwantsehgal.wordpress.com/2019/04/14/use-aem-workflow-to-convert-an-xdp-document-to-pdf-document/ I have been a LiveCycle / JEE developer since the beginning of times. Honestly, AEM Workflow is no replacement for the orchestration engine in JEE. You can replace some aspects of render services etc and maybe some very basic interactive flows with users - but that is way more simpli...

Hi,I have tried every trick I could think of to make this look right. Not possible due to the nature of this table (left column). The only way to make this look right is not to break the table. Turn off Page Breaks for the table. Then you get this while it still fits on the same pageand when it does not:This keeps your table intact BUT you cannot predict when it jumps to the next page and it could look really odd when you have a larger table (many rows). And what does not work is when the table i...

🙂 as you can see this approach is MUCH MORE complicated. I would recommed to use a table. When you say "some line under some field" - can you provide a scetch or a screenshot what you mean by that? When are there lines under what fields?

Hi,I think we need to drill down a bit further. The SOAP interface basically responds depending on what the calling framework allows for.The blob=base64 only says that the binary data is to be converted to BASE64 text - but not that it always comes back also in binaryData (although that is default). Check out the "Accessing data in BLOB objects returned from services" in the link I provided before. Under 4. it says "Otherwise. If a service does not take the document type as input, then the output...

as said here, Adobe Reader or Acrobat is required to view and sign. You need to download the PDF if on Chrome and the likes. The only possible way to use in Browser is if you still happen to have IE11 on your Windows and installed the Adobe Reader with the plugin so that it opens in the browser. The newer your Windows version the more unlikely that this is still available.

What you describe very briefly sounds like you did not properly apply the blob=base64. What exactly do you get back from the service? Does it return the BLOB data type and the remoteURL field is set? Check out this page https://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/11.0/ProgramLC/WS624e3cba99b79e12e69a9941333732bac8-7fd4.2.html

Just to confirm: you are using the FormsService API on AEM Forms OSGi (6.4?) and you have written some Java code to access the functionality of the renderPDFForm function. This is the Javadoc:Assuming you have correctly set up the paths and your getRenderOptions properly identifies the files and sets the Document variables and sets all fields of your option correctly:is the xdp variable pointing to a valid URL which returns the XDP?Why is the second parameter null? Here is the explanation, a possible solution depends on what it is that you want to do with these 3 columns:I have created a very basic form with this structure using a flowed main page and a flowed western subform with the repeating column rows. When there is no age break things look correct: If column 1 has more lines than fit it throws a page break but the other columns have not been layouted yet. So they end up on the next page. The bigger the difference in lines between first column and the...

Hiit took some time until I was able to replicate your "issue" and I think I succeeded:Well, this is not a bug but the attempt of the renderer to make things match. The growing textfield content is not of the same "height" as one of your internal, right side row elements. It calculates the remaining space until the page end and will fill a gap with empty if the remaining size is less than the height of your TextField row. Because you have lines all around you can see the gap. You would not get i...
