Just an extra FYI. In direct call rules.. Some SPA may experience a first page load double fire.If you implement Direct call rules well you can also get a huge benefit from automatic link tracking. many html links, buttons will automatically be tagged for click usage under Activity map.(no spec events needed, out of box)

You could rename the files in a roundabout way, i.e. save a copy of those files in your website's file system but under new names, then load them up in your web pages. But that's hard to manage for one big reason: whenever Adobe updates those files, you'll need to get new copies all over again.I take a more zen-like approach: if the user doesn't want to be tracked, then don't track the user. Time will tell how well that plays out, though.

At the Payment page, check your browser console for any errors in red that might indicate some invalid code, either in your Launch library itself or somewhere else that conflicts with your Launch library.

Since this is a limitation in AppMeasurement or ECID itself, I don't think there's anything that you can do. You'll have to consult Adobe Client Care to see if they can get engineering to update their code to allow you to specify an expiry that never changes.

I feel your pain. 😣 Should the link destination be included in the postMessage and then the actual navigation be handled from the parent page by Launch after the custom link fires? Or should the parent postMessage back to the iFrame after the custom link, so the navigation can proceed?I think the second option is "safer", because it should ensure that Launch has sent the Custom Link beacon before navigation happens. But that means your users could have a longer delay between clicking a link to ...

I think, capturing the login state in an evar is still the best way to track users' login status.

I don't think you're able to achieve what you want in Analysis Workspace. The best solution that I can think of is to have 2 visualisations:Summary Number showing the Average Time Spent on Site (seconds) for the reference page, e.g. homepage.Freeform Table showing the Average Time Spent on Site (seconds) for other pages. Then let your users eyeball the comparisons themselves. Specifically to this requirement:Users cannot be required to apply "Average Time Spent on Site (seconds)" to the Page dime...

Here's one possible solution:Create a Data Element that returns the current hour of day in CT in 24-hour format. You'll need to write your own code to do this.In your Rule that loads the widget, include a Condition that checks if this Data Element's value is between 8 and 20.

Adobe Launch itself doesn't have any ability to let you specify such a condition. But here's one way where you could do this with some coding: use a JavaScript variable as a flag.In every Rule, add an Action that sets a JavaScript variable in the page. Then in this Data Element Change rule, check for the value of that JavaScript variable. If the variable is found with an expected value, then that means some other Rule(s) had fired, so DO NOT fire this Data Element Change rule.If the variable is not...

I have very similar issues. What I have found out so far using Adobe Launch: If using the built in s.tl() action in Adobe Launch:Activity Map Information is only set, read and sent if the element clicked is wrapped inside a link = bla tag.If using custom code in the action section like "s.tl(this, 'o', linkName)":Activity Map Information is always set, read and sent.If this is an exit link or a download link activity map works like a charm.Anyway: in the two first cases the s_sq cookie which sto...

As stated here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/analyze/activity-map/link-tracking/link-tracking-faq.html?lang=en "Button tags with the attribute type=“button” are not considered to be links by AppMeasurement. Consider removing type=“button” on the button tags and adding role=“button” or submit=“button” instead."

Hi Yuhuisg, Thanks so much for your answer!I had to first create a custom metric for '% change' to use in the metric with 'IF' function and it worked! One correction though IF function uses 1 and 0 when returns TRUE and FALSE. Thanks again,Paromita

Here is the recommended short term solution, intended to be used as part of the alloy onBeforeEventSend callback. I've just implemented something based on this and it has alleviated the extra pageviews for now, throwing the "phantom" hits into the Custom Links reporthttps://gist.github.com/jfkhoury/b390688267854c75d75245ed0c12253b

Activity Map data is tracked in the next hit after the data has been collected. In your case:Click a link in the bodyUser clicks the link. --> Activity Map data gets set.Custom Link beacon tracks that clicked link. --> Activity Map data is tracked here.Next page is loaded and a Pageview beacon tracks that page load. --> Activity Map data has already been sent with the Custom Link beacon, so no Activity Map data is tracked here.Click a link in the menuUser clicks the link. --> Activity Map data ge...

Adobe Analytics by itself does not convert values from uppercase to lowercase or vice versa. There are normally 3 reasons for the case conversion:Most common reason: The values are already tracked as lowercase. Check your tagging code. If you're using Adobe Launch, check if the data elements are forcing their values to lowercase. But I don't think this applies to your situation, because it sounds like the values are tracked with uppercase too.Your report suite has Processing Rules that convert val...

I'm starting to get into using Target with Web SDK and have encountered a problem with QA.My experiment is like this:There is a funnel of pages that users need to go through: A > B > CIf a user reloads page B, he gets sent back to page A. I.e. state is not retained at the current page. Likewise, if the user reloads page C, he gets sent back to page A.I am experimenting on page B. I can apply my modifications there successfully in VEC.Previously, with at.js, when I wanted to QA page B, I could ap...

Thanks for reply, this is what I considered as well. But this workaround can only be done for little "Distinct Count".Which means: Visit container:Hit: Product Type A existThenHit: Product Type A existThenHit: Product Type A does not exist Above for user visited 2 product under A. But i wanted to create segments for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.......products viewed under type A, so simply adding the number of "Distinct" will be better, otherwise, it's super time consuming. Anyway, thank you for the reply.Have ...
