UPDATE:Turns out that the time is editable. But it's hidden by a failed user interface design. Never mind, I found the problem. The Direct Calls are used to call the actual Adobe Analytics page view beacon. In that same rule is an action to track an Adobe Target page load request. That action also enables body pre-hiding. And that caused the flicker. Disabling the pre-hiding "removed" the flicker.

An Adobe Target trainer told my client that mbox should be fired on pages where there are running experiments. This is apparently to reduce server calls, which would reduce licensing costs too. My client is using Target Standard. Firstly, my client is already using at.js through Launch. They’re not using the old mbox.js at all. So is mbox even a thing for my client? In Target’s interface, I see mbox referenced together with "Custom Code", e.g. when setting up a variation. So maybe it is still a ...

My developer brought up an interesting problem with Launch: on a slow network, he sometimes gets a flicker when a page is loading. After numerous tests in Google Chrome where I throttled my network speed to "Slow 3G", I traced the problem to some Direct Calls _satellite.track() that are used in some rules' actions (implemented as custom code), i.e. there are rules inside Launch that include _satellite.track() themselves to other rules. When I blocked those min.js scripts in Chrome, the flicker p...

I have the same problem as the OP but Ashok's answer doesn't help.In my Scheduled Reports, I only see my one report which is from Analysis Workspace. I don't see any results for my Data Warehouse requests. The notification emails also don't have any "Unsubscribe" link.I am getting about 10 of these emails per day and it's driving me crazy. If DW already says that there's an error in its UI, then I don't understand why it is still sending these emails. (I can't imagine how much the backend must be...

I noticed that in every Experience Platform product (Analytics, AAM, Launch, etc.), choosing "Help > Help Home" no longer links to that particular product's Help homepage. Instead, it links to a common Experience Platform Help homepage. The user then has to figure out how to find the help documentation for the product that he wants help with. Why was this change made? It seems like a huge step backwards in enabling users to get product-specific help.

Just wondering, the implemented republish process looks cumbersome. ("Self-hosted? Good luck." "Republished or Archived? Pick one.")Here's how the "other guys" do it:Pick a previously published version.Publish it.There is no step 3.In my mind, that process is essentially this:Which is basically just the "Republish" option.

Hi Karandeep,I think I've figured out that it's a problem with how the browser cache (or local storage?) is being set.Any time I make a copy of an alert, I believe the browser caches the copied alert's conditions.Subsequently, when I open the original alert – or even any other alert, the browser loads its cached version, which is the copied alert. As a result, this gives the impression that what I am seeing is the copied alert. If I reload my browser (i.e. using Ctrl-R), the alert that I intend t...

Correct, I don't use s.clearVars() because it's so destructive. Instead, I use s.registerPostTrackCallback() like so: s.registerPostTrackCallback(function(requestUrl, s) { _satellite.logger.warn('s.registerPostTrackCallback() called'); // unset variables and events that are not needed after sending a beacon // BUT LEAVE BEHIND variables that should remain, e.g. those that are set in the Adobe Analytics extension itself var doNotUnsetVariables = [ // list of variables to keep between hits, includ...

Hoping someone can verify that what I am observing is not correct and specific to me only.Steps to reproduce:Create an anomaly alert.Back in the "Alerts" screen, select that alert and choose "Copy".Edit the copy, then save it.Open the original alert.Expected result:The original alert has its original conditions, not what had been edited in the copy.Actual result:The original alert has the same settings as the copy. Similar to Make the data element field wider (Analytics Extension), but for rule names.Rule names can be thousands of characters long (as proven in this blog post), but the input field is too short to show anything more than a few tens of characters.

I have this bizarre behaviour when using event.identifier in a data element. Background: I have several Direct Calls that actually perform the same action, but set a different s.events. So instead of creating one rule per Direct Call, I created one single rule and put all my Direct Calls in the rule’s EventsThen I created a data element (storage duration = None) to use a switch-case to map the Direct Calls’ event.identifier to the appropriate s.eventswitch (event.identifier) { case 'foo': return ...

Sharing a tip that I hope will make your life better. When using %this....% with a custom attribute, don’t use quote marks. I.e. use %this.getAttribute(custom-attribute)% without quote marks, not %this.getAttribute("custom-attribute")%.(BTW this goes against my JavaScript sensibilities.)How I discovered this:For a link click, I want to set an eVar to the value of the link’s data-foo attribute. (My link definitely has a data-foo attribute with a valid string value.)Round 1:In the rule’s AA - Set V...

The headers in every Launch page take up a lot of vertical whitespace. This is basically "dead" whitespace because there is nothing to do in them. However, the workspace below needs a lot of vertical space to work productively.Suggestion: reduce the vertical whitespace of the headers.
