Your .js file will still reside on ui.frontend, it won’t be on aem asset side. I am suggesting something similar to adding adobe analytics files on aem page properties. The new field will on aem page properties but will only apply to the page on which authored

Can you try with updating the folder property of smart tag as enabled from drop down and then try uploading an assets and see whether it works for newly added asset or not?

No that’s not possible. Similar can be achieved by creating a separate folder for your asset in aem dam

Aem provides all the capabilities like creating page version, restore and preview of created page version. Simplest solution in your case would be to create a new path field in your aem template and select the js file from there that you want to load to some specific pages
