Isn't it working as expected as after translation (it respect the rollout config during translation) the FR page should refer to FR XF only after EN XF translated (translated and rolled out to FR locale)??

you can use them as is until unless it suffice your requirement (branding, use cases etc...) mostly common practice is to version and customize as needed. some cases we are planning to develop complete custom solution as well using same CIF graphQL query.

Hello, If you want to replace the complete <picture> tag then create a <section> or <div> tag as a wrapper around the <picture> tag and associate with unique id to. Now, you can replace the entire <picture> tag inside that wrapper tag by targeting through the id given in wrapper tag. I hope it helps...
