He confirmed that it is technically working as designed; we had a lengthy discussion with our beta testers on this subject and they preferred the current functionality because it allows you to potentially "copy" ...

This is something we are considering as we build out the Segment Manager to include things other than segments. 

@vilin , did you by any chance report this to Customer Care? I am seeing the same thing you are, and I think it's more of a bug than a feature request. I'll leave this thread open, but if you haven't done so, please do report it as a bug.
