Show the report suite the segment applies to

In Segment Manager, the segments are listed with the report suite they apply to, but when I select a segment to edit it shows the current report suite instead of the report suite the segment applies to. If I change the report suite, it changes the report suite I'm viewing reports for.

 

I expect that if I select a segment it would show the report suite it applies to. Also, if I want a segment to apply to multiple report suites, it's not immediately obvious how.

@vilin , did you by any chance report this to Customer Care? I am seeing the same thing you are, and I think it's more of a bug than a feature request. I'll leave this thread open, but if you haven't done so, please do report it as a bug.

I contacted Client Care via chat, however, they didn't log it as a bug. To be honest, they didn't think it was a bug.

@vilin That news disappointed me, so I went and chatted with one of our lead engineers. He confirmed that it is technically working as designed; we had a lengthy discussion with our beta testers on this subject and they preferred the current functionality because it allows you to potentially "copy" a segment from one report suite to another. That said, we're all very open to changing it, if there is enough demand. I'm going to leave this open and track the additional votes/comments, and we'll see!
