We’re excited to bring back the second iteration of this Target AMA series, featuring the same rockstars - Iulian Velea, Brent Kostak, Drew Burns, and Cristinel Anastasoaie of the Product Management and Product Marketing teams. You can also use this event to ask ANY questions you have about Adobe Target. Keep in mind this is a text-only event, there is no link/video to join! Just post your question as a reply to the thread and it will be answered during the 1-hour “event”.
So, what were Adobe Target’s Summit announcement around scaling your optimization strategy?
We announced a rolling release of a completely redesigned Adobe Target user interface which is built for greater efficiency, on a React Spectrum framework, and designed to work seamlessly with Adobe Experience Platform and Platform-native applications like Adobe Journey Optimizer. We have 2 new betas with impending GAs for 2 new generative AI features: an AI Assistant for product knowledge (enabling conversational queries for product information, best practices, use cases and more) and an AI Assistant for content generation (embedded generative AI features in Target’s visual experience composer for generating configurable text variations based on audience, tone and other factors, with auto-suggested images coming shortly thereafter.) We announced a new implementation approach (and held a lab) dedicated to CDN Experimentation, a near latency-free implementation approach that enables leveraging EDGE workers like Akamai for Target execution.) We announced a revamped embedded feature for reducing and removing flicker. We announced a new Insights Dashboard home screen for Target customers which summarizes activity progress and relative impact on core metrics to your business. And finally, a brand new product built to integrate with Adobe Target that leverages generative AI for optimizing your optimization strategy, Adobe Journey Optimizer Experimentation Accelerator, which makes suggestions on optimal opportunities for activities based on your audiences and historical Target activity performance with relative projected impact on your main business goals.

Hi everyone, apologies to start the AMA on a negative note, but we've encountered several issues with the new UI. The toggle to switch back to the old UI has helped, but stability hasn't been fantastic the last week or so since the toggle was introduced. As there are still a number of open issues, please can you give some reassurance that the forced migration will not be completed until all issues have been addressed?
It also appears that activities built or saved in the new UI are not back-compatible with the old UI - is there a risk that our "always on" activities, built in the old UI, will stop working once the migration to the new UI is complete?
Is there a risk that any Live AB tests will stop working when the migration is complete?
Will we need to rebuild activities in the new UI if/when amends are required?
100% seeing the same problems in the new UI, it's my new unexpected #1 concern/priority now, keeping me up at night.
@chris-luckett thank you for your feedback and questions. We realize this is a big change which comes with some problems that are fixed with priority. The toggle switch will not be removed until all major issues will be fixed.
As for the other questions, here are some more details:
What are the best methods for utilizing Target for personalization but through the AEM content management system? For Cloud Service, is Context Hub a viable option?
@marcn98226988 Great question! AEM and Target have a powerful integration benefitting content velocity, which allows Experience Fragments and Content Fragments from AEM to be shared directly into Target's offer library with metadata from AEM. This provides rapid iteration on experience variations with brand accepted templates that can be updated from the AEM side.
When will the new Flicker Management be available for general use?
@maccg12 The new Flicker Management solution will become generally available in September '25.
The new modernized UI has a lot of improvements in terms of accessible features, governance, and streamlined processes. The new VEC will have embedded AI Assistant for content generation soon, so even more advancements coming to the new UI shortly. Our PM team has recorded demoes and updated documentation if there are any questions, but the new UI does follow the same logic as the former UI.
Hello,
In the old Target UI we could add scripts to the <head> or at the end of <body>. I don't see this option in the new UI, How can I control where will the script be added in the new UI
Thanks!
@Mattzz - the option to have custom code outside of page <head> will be added in one of the next Adobe Target releases.
This will be posted on: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/target/using/release-notes/release-notes
Hi everyone, thanks for attending and asking your questions. This event is now OVER. We appreciate the thoughtful discussion and will catch you in the next AMA!
