Audience name limit

Hi,

A stupid question, but was asked by our business teams. Couldnt find in any documentation.

Is there a limit to segment name created in CDP i.e. max allowed length of adobe rtcdp segment name.

Hi @krp328603 there are limits to what certain downstream destinations will accept. I don’t know the limits off top of my head but we’ve ran into this issue with sending to Acv8

I believe the maximum length allowed for a segment name within Adobe Real-Time CDP is 255 characters.

This limit is a standard constraint across several Adobe Experience Cloud products

• Adobe Audience Manager Segment Builder Guide explicitly states: "The maximum length of a segment name is 255 characters."

Correct, although we don’t expose a specific “X characters max” limit in official guardrails, some destinations have their own limits on the concatenated name/id they receive.

Adobe Campaign has a ~250‑character composite limit for audience name + id + destination name/id
