We will be receiving HTML Markup to Customer Profiles and need to use this markup within the email content of an AJO Journey and have it interpreted as HTML.
For example - Customer Profile field: htmlFragment = <div class="blue"><p id="gos-1">Click for Special Offer</p></div>
My questions are
1. When creating the schema are there any considerations? For example, is setting up the field as type String our best option?
2. How do we use this within our email content in order to have it interpreted as HTML Markup?
Thanks for taking a look, happy to answer any questions!

@MichaelBailey I don't think HTML markup in the profile field will be seen as actual HTML. In the email designer, it’ll just be treated as a personalization element. Can you share more about why you want HTML markup there? What specific use case you're trying to achieve?
We have certain lines of business that are in control of HTML markup content within emails. These are currently being handled via an API call to Responsys which uses the markup in the content of the email.
We are moving this functionality over to AEP/AJO.
So the HTML Markup will be sent to Customer Profiles in an experience event via HTTP API Source. We need to use this markup within the content of an email.
Are you saying that this isn't possible?

Yes, It's not possible for AJO to have HTML markup sitting on the profile level to render it via personalization.
