@ChakravarthyKalva Hi Chakra, What are the recent additions to the AJO functionalities and Like AEP, what are the Agentic AI applications/MCP Options are getting integrated with AJO?
Hi there! We've had a lot of recent innovation for AJO and I'd suggest you check out the Release Notes page on Experience League here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/whats-new/release-notes
Regarding Agentic AI application, at Adobe Summit, we announced Journey Agent and Experimentation Accelerator for Adobe Journey Optimizer. We'll have more information coming soon, but for now, check out:
We are exploring feasibility of using AEM Content Fragments in AJO. (Documentation: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/content-management/combine/aem-fr...)
Two questions:
1) Is there a limit on the number of CF references that can be made in a single AJO content template? We are able to test templates successfully when we have 10 Content Fragment IDs, but as soon as we add an 11th, the template will throw "Internal Server Error from Content Service. (CJMPTS - 1510-500)"
2) Is there a way to inject dynamic content fragment IDs? So following the documentation, we can add AEM content fragment ID xyz1234 as:
But what if we wanted this fragment ID to be dynamic? Say it was stored as a profile attribute _profile.myCustomCFID. Is there a way to do something like this?
{{fragment id='aem:{{_profile.myCustomCFID}}?repoId=author-p1234567890.adobeaemcloud.com' result='cf'}}
Hi @yqrz,
Thanks so much for your question during the AMA! We’re sorry it didn’t get answered live, but do not worry, our product team has seen it and is currently looking into it.
Hang in there and we’ll be getting back to you soon with a response. Really appreciate your patience!
1. There is no limit of 10 on CF references. Could be because of the size of the fragment. Could you please reach out to support and get a ticket created with Template/ CF details? Will check and confirm.
2. We don't have support for dynamic AEM content fragment IDs. But we hear you, this is included as part of the product backlog.
We have an AJO email journeys which runs in real time and send emails to the end users. We would like to share the email content(similar to what end user receives) to other department within the organization for a reference or export to external platforms. When we search using an email address or primary id it would render the html or content summary for quick view.
can this be implemented within AJO? Or any pointers to export the content and render html from external platforms?
Thank you!
We have the 'export HTML' option, it that works for you. The other option you might want to explore is sending a proof as part of 'Simulate Content'.
Question: When we are running a Test Mode , does the email action and custom action get sent? And if it does how can we prevent it without having to remove the actions themselves?
Hello @RaulTo! In Test Mode, you do in fact trigger live actions such as sends for out-of-the-box channels as well as custom actions. It's worth noting that Test Mode only triggers for profiles with the test profile flag enabled, so you are not at risk of doing live sends to actual customers. This is a great was to test the end-to-end process prior to activation.
If you're looking for a way to test a journey with real production data to gain confidence in journey design, audience targeting and so on prior to publication, I would recommend considering the new Dry Run feature. This provides a safe test mode for practitioners that specifically does not trigger actual sends.
Journeys Dry Run will do just that!
Available on request and will be released to all very soon!
Hi ExL community, looking forward to hearing your questions about the topics above, such as conflict management and prioritization.
Can you send us the direct link to the chat? i keep getting this page only from the link shared in the invite
Hi @RaulTo,
You're already in the right place
This comment section thread is the AMA, there's no separate link. If you're seeing this and typing here, you're all set to participate. Just drop your questions right here!
Where is the link for the actual event?
Hi there! There is no in-person or virtual event here. It is just a dedicated time with Adobe experts on to answer questions! Feel free to ask questions in this thread if you have them.
Hi @RaulTo,
This is a live AMA (Ask Me Anything) event happening right now in the chat section of this thread. You're already part of it, so feel free to jump in and ask your questions here.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I'm seeing this type Targeting in condition activity but there is no documentation on it. Can you please let me know where I can find some details or use case on it
Thanks,
David
Hey @DavidKangni, looks like you've gotten a sneak peak! This is actually part of our upcoming message and journey optimization feature set due out later this year. A subset of customers have had this enabled prematurely, but engineering is in the process of correcting this. It's a really exciting enhancement on the roadmap, and we'll be providing plenty of enablement and documentation around its release!
We want to send some of the real time ajo events data fields into destinations like aws in real time and also batch mode. For Batch mode when we try to activate we can see only profile fields in the destination mapping. Is there a way we can send events schema fields into destinations ?
Hi @sinrajNa1,
Thanks for your question!
What you're asking about is actually more related to Real-Time CDP than Journey Optimizer.
It's a bit outside the scope of AJO, so I’d recommend posting your question in the Adobe RTCDP Community, where the right experts can help you out.
We currently use Test Profiles to push profiles through journeys via Test Mode. It is very cumbersome to ingest new profiles or new profile attributes as our test scenarios change from journey to journey. Will AJO ever have the capability to modify test profile attributes directly in the platform? This would significantly reduce the amount of time needed to test journeys.
We hear you! We are working through planning right now for some new capabilities around test profiles that will
1_ Make it easier to create new test profiles on the fly
2 Make it easy to update attributes and values for test profiles
3. Make it easy to override profile attributes in a journey to force profiles into different branches.
4. Provide the ability to group test profiles together and test with a read audience journey or within an Action Campaign.
BTW we plan to do all of this without having to run any API command
Hey Ivan - thanks for the update. Any rough timing on when would this be available for us to use?
here's one that is a more general AJO email mktg q. is there any reliable way to upload an ad-hoc email list for an email send that doesn't require the 24 wait for audience evaluation to send it?
Also shameless plug for my amazing SUMMIT session with Chris Stolz. We have some tips on audience upload at the 17:00m mark
editing as I found the answer to my secondary issue. thanks!
We have an existing AJO email journey which runs in real time and send email to the end user/customers. We have a new requirement to share this same email content to other department within the organization like agent / customer care team for a reference. we need to share each users email content to these teams like how end user seeing their email.
I got to know we can use BCC email option , but there are some limitations and contractual level restrictions for us to use this approach . Is there any way we can achieve this.?
Hello there. We don't currently have the ability to share email content to other departments and search those emails as of yet, though we are considering a few options here in our roadmap. Very much appreciate the feedback and will discuss further for future enhancements.
During test mode testing of event triggered journeys, when we send some event to test the journey - It is also entering any live journey using the same event. Is this expected? How to handle this?
@MeenuCh1 This would be expected.
It is also likely that many times you do NOT want a user entering multiple journeys with the same event. To change this behavior you can do a few different things.
1) Define a separate event with a slightly different entrance/trigger criteria so that they are not the exact same event.
2) Make sure you un-click "Allow re-entrance" on one of the Journeys if you do not want profiles entering. This is a good idea if you have multiple journeys using the same event.
3) Use a global exit event to force a user out of Journey A, if they enter Journey B.
When integrating AJO with Adobe Target to utilize the offer decision feature, does the eligibility rules in offer only supports profile attributes(captured through websdk) or also supports events?
And when we use this offer decision in experience targeting activity in Target, How the audience selection happens? Will the offer be presented to 'All Visitors' if we use the default segment or the audience which are eligible from offer's eligibility criteria.
Any detailed documentation for this would be helpful.
Hey @parmeshwarr3905, the value and power of this integration is that it is effectively a punch-through into AJO's Offer Decisioning for that Target experience. This means that so long as we are provided a linked identity, the decisioning engine will factor in all of the relevant information available in AEP. This includes profile and experience event data, offer eligibility, prioritization and capping when determining the right content for each individual.
For more information, you can refer to the integration guidelines documented here.
A big thank you to all our amazing experts for taking the time to answer questions and share their insights with the AJO community today!
We appreciate your time and support in helping our community users get the most out of Adobe Journey Optimizer.
