Migration From a Non-Adobe Tag Manager to Dynamic Tag Manager

Avatar

Level 1

Hello,

My company has been using a Non-Adobe tag manager for some time, but I am interested in migrating to Dynamic Tag Manager in the near future. Does anyone have any insights on what should be expected from the migration process. Your comments are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi rmm268,

There are no strict guidelines to be followed as such. You can simply have the following planned:

- Populate the Data Layer to Data Elements

- Use Page Load Rules to load the content on page

- Within Page Load Rules use Third Party tags to add Third Party scripts and use default tool specific sections for populating values to Adobe Analytics, Target etc.

- Use Event Based rules for triggering calls/scripts for user actions

While all this is not very difficult to do, it requires proper planning and documentation.
