DTM Onclick data layer

When I implemented Omniture via Tealium I had to use different kind of code for data layer that i had to put in onclick actions. Is there anything I have to change when i need to put data layer as onclick?

DTM does not require you to use a Data Layer or put extra scripting in that data layer to track events.
