DTM - Creating JS Object Data Elements

Avatar

Level 3

I've read the blogs and watched the videos on the DTM. The thing that I don't understand is in the creation of a JS Object data element. It wants a path and name but the name is supposed to be a friendly name? I don't understand how this works? If I have an object objectName and want to access a property objectName.objectProperty what would I put in DTM for the creation of the data element for this JS Object? Do I use the custom script instead? Can someone give me examples of how the JS Object/Data Element creation section is used in the context of the DTM?

Hi,

In case you haven't already found a solution, this is an example of a data element created using a JS object.
