Adobe DTM multiple properties on a single site

Hi,

I've just started using DTM on my client's site.

I'm wondering if it's possible to set multiple properties on a single site.

(I mean there occur multiple requests for different container js files, on the same time, the same page)

Usually there should be no need to do so, but I have an issue on controlling users's roles (e.g. User A should only maintain the rules on property A, User B on property B.)

I tried, and it looks working, but I couldn't find any references about that on the help site of DTM.

Actually, I've already read the help you mentioned.

But I couldn't find the answer for my question...

It says "You can apply one web property to multiple domains."

What I want to know is whether it's possible to "apply multiple web properties to one domain."

I'm worrying that some conflict might occur.

Generally speaking it is a bad idea to have 2 copies of the DTM engine on a single domain.  That would cause conflicts within the DOM of the page and DTM could not be guaranteed to work as expected. 

To manage the user roles across different properties ( https://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/dtm/#Invite_a_user ) You would select the "Define Role per Property" setting in DTM next to the user name.  If you do not provide a user with any access to specific property within DTM then they will not even see the property listed in their dashboard.

I agree with that it might be a bad idea..

But unfortunately I couldn't yet find any idea to solve my situation (like below).

1) There is a company which owns ONE website.

2) And there are some divisions who will manage DTM separately.

Division A (e.g. IT Division) > They only manage Adobe Analytics tags.

Division B (e.g. Marketing Division) > They only manage AD tags.

3) The users (include the approvers, the publishers) are different.

What I'm trying to do is,

- Make 2 properties (Property A for Division A, Property B for Division B).

- Define roles of the users per property (the users of Division A will only access Property A, and vice versa)

Any suggestions are welcome.

Masaharu,

There is not a way to currently do this and have DTM not lose any functionality.  Note: We strongly recommend against the method you are describing in your original question.

For now this is a governance & process issue.   This sounds like the makings of a good feature request where what you need is the ability to create new user groups with sub levels of access within a single property.  The best course of action would be to type this up and send the email to your account manager with instructions to fwd it to the myself or the DTM team.
