Full Page A/B Test without Redirect

Avatar

Level 1

Hi there,

Looking to run a full page A/B test i.e. completely different varients, currently built across 2x URLs in Target - without implementing a costly (due to speed) redirect.

Is it possible to serve page variants from the same URL through Target?

Appreciate this is a simple question!

Hi @StevenMo1,

The normal way here via Target on the client side is a redirectOffer.

The alternative is that almost the entire DOM is exchanged accordingly via an HTML offer. Depending on the setup, this sounds easier than it is. It must be ensured that all components are automatically initialized again afterwards - and that the tracking is initialized accordingly. You also need to be aware that data (from the default page) may already have been written to the DataLayer.

Best regards
