Adobe Target Reporting In Adobe Analytics

Avatar

Level 1
can we create an A4t workspace in Adobe Analytics for an Auto Target activity, if we have selected reporting source as Target

if yes then kindly brief us or direct to any material or documentation that can help, since we have selected reporting source as target but in A4t workspace, there's no values we can find for the respective Auto Target experience which helps us build the activity dashboard like (Exp A Or Exp B)

Is it necessary to select reporting source as Adobe Analytics for creating an A4t workspace of an Auto Target Activity

Any workaround if we want to report on Auto Target activity, if we have selected reporting source as Target for that same Auto target activity

Thanks

Hi @DilipSa

Please find my response below.

1. Can you create an A4T workspace in Adobe Analytics for an Auto Target activity when the reporting source is set as Target?

No, you cannot create an A4T workspace in Adobe Analytics if you have selected Target as the reporting source. Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target use different data collection methods. When Target is selected as the reporting source, the data stays in Adobe Target and is not passed to Adobe Analytics.

2. Is it necessary to select reporting source as Adobe Analytics for creating an A4t workspace of an Auto Target Activity?

Yes, selecting Adobe Analytics as the reporting source is essential to create an A4T workspace in Adobe Analytics. A4T (Adobe Analytics for Target) enables the integration between the two platforms, allowing Analytics to pull in data from Target activities, including Auto Target activities.

3. Any workaround if we want to report on Auto Target activity, if we have selected reporting source as Target for that same Auto target activity?

Unfortunately, if you've already selected Target as the reporting source, there's no direct way to create an A4T workspace in Adobe Analytics.
You can still view activity data directly within Adobe Target under the Reports section, though the analysis and visualization options are more limited compared to Adobe Analytics.
If reporting through Adobe Analytics is essential, you might need to reconfigure the activity and select Adobe Analytics as the reporting source when setting up the activity. This ensures data is sent to Analytics for deeper analysis in A4T workspace.

Here are the help documents for more guidance on A4T

Hi @DilipSa , NO, you can not create A4T workspace if you are using Adobe target as a reporting source.

Is it necessary to select reporting source as Adobe Analytics for creating an A4t workspace of an Auto Target Activity?

Yes, It is necessary to select reporting source as Adobe Analytics for A4T workspace.

And for your last question,

No, you cannot change the reporting source of a live Adobe Target activity; once an activity is live, the reporting source is locked and cannot be modified. To use a different reporting source, you need to create a new activity with the desired source setting.
