what is dci file..eg. abc.xdp_dci

Hi,

When i import any file in the repository, i always find that one more file with extne dci is created with 7 kb size.

Can anyone tell me what is that  file...

eg. when i import a file abc.xdp i am able to see one more file abc.xdp_dci. what is th this dci file.

what is the impact if i delete this file from workbench .

You shouldn't delete that file.

If it's not there, it'll get recreated by LiveCycle with the default settings.

The dci file (data capture interface) is a file that LiveCyle creates automatically for every "form" resource (XDP,PDF Guide and SWF) . This file defines which action profile should be used to render the form properly.

what will happen if i delete this file using Java API or by some other method..
