Install Livecycle ES3 Service Pack1

Hi everybody,

Actually, i've been installing a fresh Livecycle PDFGenerator ES3 within Windows Server 2008 R2 and MySQL 5.1.57 . I got  a sucessful intallation therefore i started to install Livecycle ES3 SP1 for PDFGenerator. When i configured Livecycle ES3 SP1 by using Configuration Manager, the jboss log threw the following exception in Deploy task:

However the Configuration Manager didn't show a failed deploy component (i got a 100% status showed by the bar status), so i restarted my JBoss server application.

After those steps, i logged into the livecycle administration console but i couldn´t see pdfgeneretor link into Services. In About I noticed that Livecycle ES SP1 was installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

This problem occurs when the order of operations in LCM is incorrect. It generally occurs if after applying patch we run the Deploy Component step without Configuring and Deploying ear.

If this is the case, please re-run the LCM and ensure that configuration and deployment of ear is done before deploying components.

Thanks for answering, i´ve made several tests installing the service pack getting the same results. I followed the adobe installation instructions  to install the service pack 1 for livecycle es3.

I configured and deployed ear files, i copied the ear files to jboss deploy directory then i started jboss server application, i performed the last  Configuration Manager tasks so i selected the options to initialize database, deploy and validate the livecycle components, but in Deploy task i got the exception as mentioned above. I think it's cause due to a bug, isn't it?

It's worth mentioning that when i performe the revert to pre-service pack state process it throws the followed exception in Initialize Database task :

The database user has all the privileges assigned by using the following approach:

CREATE DATABASE livecycleDatabase;

CREATE USER 'livecycleadmin'@'127.0.0.1' IDENTIFIED BY 'p4$$w0rD';

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON livecycleDatabase.* to ' livecycleadmin '@'127.0.0.1';
