Images don't display or display incorrectly

When using LiveCycle Deisgner ES2 version 9.0.0.2, when I place an image it does not display correctly. It either shows the image incorrectly (mostly black) or it shows a "broken image file" icon.

Is something wrong with my software or am I just missing something obvious?

Is the embed image check box checked?

Some more clues:

It works fine if I use a high resolution .PNG file.

If I use a .eps file, it shows a low res preview only

If I use a .jpg file, I get the broken file image

I am having the same problem. I am getting all sort of "artifacts" on my image. I have tried different resolutions. This is so frustrating. Anyone know why this is happening?

The images are fine in Photoshop and InDesign, it is just when trying to use them in LiveCycle I have a problem.

Jpg work, but I want the transparency of the png.
