If you've left things as default and installed the test harnesses then go to http://localhost:8080/ReaderExtensions you might want to review the documentation as there are a variety of options for adding the rights automatically as well

administrator and when you installed it prompted you for the administrator password so I don't know what you provided.  Perhaps password

I just opened the site and in the Adobe instructions the user is administrator and password password but I did that and it tells me the user name nad password are incorrect.

are you able to login to http://serverhost:serverport/adminui with these credentials ? Can you attach server logs?

Hi YCHunter

I think, you have forgotten the credential or changed the credential while installing the Reader Extension Server. So, just uninstall it and do the new installation. This time please remember the credential. If you don't change anything it means bydefault your username will be administrator and password will be password. If it is not working again. Just let me know.

HI,

The website you gave me won't open.

I'm sorry, I know very little about programming, and I'm only an admin assitant with certain administrator rights to my own computer so I don't have access to the servers.

I'm now very confused, I've been trying to get this done for a whole week now without results. http://localhost:8080/ReaderExtensions I thought this is all I needed to import my trial RE credentials. I don't want to purchase a module that might not work if I don't have the whole ADEP document services or if I need certain programs.

I need some guidance to know if I'm doing the right thing. This is what I have done so far:

1;- I currently have the Livecycle ES8.2 version installed in my computer for a couple of years now and recently downloaded and installed the ES2 trial.

2.- I also downloaded the trial version of the RE and installed the credential in my computer.

3.- According to your suggestions in this forum and also in the Adobe instructions I'm supposed to import the RE credential to the administration console (http://localhost:8080/ReaderExtensions with an adminstrator  user and password  password but the site says my user and password are incorrect....??

4.- I don't know what else to do then because I'm stuck in 3.

Now reading manjeet's response, I need to download a server?

I'm trying to test if what ever I'm doing here is right with the use of trial versions of livecycle and RE so after testing I can request to purchase both, but if this doesn't work to make my dynamic form import and export data in adobe reader then my whole project is gone to the trash aswell as my other pending projects.

There is no way and no how we're switching to the ADEP documentation services because the whole corporation is working under another documentation service, so what ever I'm trying to do here is for our internal use as a department.

Will just the Livecycle ES2 and an RE credential be enough?

Please help, I'm very frustrated now.

Thanks!

You need to import Reader Extension credential via adminui have you tried to login to http://serverhostname:port/adminui as administrator?

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/samples/ServiceUsageSampleReaderExtensionsDynamicallyApply...  -- this has steps to import reader extension credential

Hi

Use the below link to install Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extension Server. But ensure, you should have the Reader Extension Credential.

Santosh,

When I try to perform any operation on a pdf at http://localhost:8080/ReaderExtensions, I'm getting an error saying 'Encryption services is not running or installed'. How can I resolve this issue?

Thanks.

Pls attach any screenshot or log

You may check if there are any services that are not in running state by logging on to http://servername:port/adminui as administrator and ensure that  all services are in running state
