Flex publish / subscribe not working from public IP

I installed the latest Flex Express LCDS on top of ColdFusion
8 enterprise demo version installed as multiserver/JRUN and got it
all to work when running directly from the server using "
http://127.0.0.1:8300/samples".
However, when I run it from outside using the server's public IP
then it all works except for the push publsh/subscribe samples.
They just hang and cannot subscribe. Any ideas? Could it be a
restriction on the LSCDS Express or the CF8 demo version? Or maybe
a port issue? We have all ports closed except for those needed. Is
there an additional port that needs to be opened besides 8300?
Thanks for any help.

I think I found the problem. It seems you must have port 2037
open for RTMP messaging to work with the samples apps. This port is
closed on our firewall and I suspect that is why I am having a
problem. I will get my network guy to make the change on Monday and
then I will try it again. Most likely that will solve it.

Yes. It works now. The port was the problem. Also, for some
reason I needed to specifically identify the IP of the gatewayhost
in the properties in the messaging-config.xml even though
everything was on the same machine.

<gatewayhost>127.0.0.1</gatewayhost>

In addition you also need port 2040 opened to veiw the market
feed example.
