Hello all,
I have a requirement where in which i have to convert a fax to an email and send the same to a group of members. I'm using LiveCycle 8.0.1, Is there any way i can do that?
Lets say a person sends a fax to a number xxx-xxx-xxxx, i need to do some configuration which takes this fax at that no and converts it to a pdf document and sends it as an email to a group of people. I have heard of Email end-point configuration which gets activated when it gets an email to a particular email id. Similarly i have to do it for fax. Is it possible? if so please provide me a link or a sample to know more about it.
Thanks
Deepak

What you could do is have the fax save a pdf into a folder. Then create a watch folder endpoint that will pick the document from that folder and use the email service to email the document to a user or a group.

You'll need a fax server - effectively a fax machine that saves the incoming fax to a directory rather than onto paper.
Alternately, there are several fax server providers who will do this online for you.
Like Jasmin says, once you've produced the file, you can use it to kick off a LIveCycle process, and then you can anything you want with it.

Hello All,
Thanks a lot for your quick replies.
I have suggested your solutions to our clients, they told they'll convert the fax to email and send it as an email with fax copy as an attachement to some email id. I think i can use email endpoint configuration and later i can use email service to email to the group.
Thanks once again

If the fax can generate and email with an attachment, the the email endpoint will also work.
