Does livecycle have Acrobat built in? Not very clear...

Hi,

It seems Adobe doesn't know what to do with the livecycle product since they removed it from Acrobat Pro 11. I am so confused on the product now. I have seen several iterations of what they are calling it ie....  Livecycle designer, ES4. designer suite, on and on. It is not clear what is actually needed to do dynamic forms. Is Acrobat Pro included with the standalone version of livecycle or what ever its called these days?

Thx,

Frustrated

LiveCycle ES once was the name of an suite of enterprise solutions, that has been renamed into AEM Forms (AEM = Adobe Experience Manager). This suite contains several modules, one of them is the AEM Forms Designer formerly known as LiveCycle Designer.

This tool is used to create dynamic PDF forms (also known as XFA forms). In the past it was bundled to Adobe Acrobat but since 2012 when Acrobat XI was released Adobe decided to sell it separately.

The lastest trial version of AEM Forms Designer can be found here: LiveCycle Blog: AEM Forms Designer Demoversion//AEM Forms Designer Trial

If you already have a licence for Designer ES4 you can use it with the latest version of AEM Forms Designer too. However it seems Adobe has stopped to selling licenses for Designer ES4. You'll propably can try to buy such license from a 3rd party or you get access to AEM Forms.
