Digital signature

I have created a fill able form using Acrobat 7pro, with a signature field.  Why can't an EE using Reader 9 digitally sign the form?

Certain form features like Digitally Sign a form need to be enable using Reader Extensions Server before distributing the form to users who are intend to use Adobe Reader instead of Adobe Acrobat.
