Comma separate

Hi everyone,

I want to separate a list as the user types it with a comma. The user will enter numeric values.

The end result should be this : 200903,200509,200001.

The number of characters entered will always be a minimum of 4.

I will really appreciate your assistance in this.

You coudl use a display mask to format the input. On the Object/Value tab choose patterns and then click on the Display tab. This mask will be applied to the data that you see on screen. A 9 indicates that a numeric char is needed. So the mask woudl be:

999999,999999,999999,9999999

Thanks it works, but only works on a numeric field, is the a way that I can apply a similar thing on a text field.

An A represents an alpha char a z represents a 0 and a 9 represnts a number.
