Can a license for Livecycle ES2 be used for Livecycle ES4?

I am currently running Livecycle ES2 and looking to upgrade to ES4. Would it be possible to reuse the license key from ES2 or will I have to purchase a new license?

Every license I have ever had (not only Adobe, ALL programs) is version specific
