Apply color background for the value area into DDList

Form the Object field tab>Appearance>custom I try to apply a background color

for the value area into DDList.

On screen it's fine but when I have to print the background color disappear!

How I can print the DDList with the background value area color?

Caption Background color white.

That is strange, and not our experience here. Is there script in the object that may be affecting the background colour?

Can you share the form or the dropdowns?
