Unable to extract template?

I have a form created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.0 but cannot seem to open the form in Designer. I get a message which states unable to extract template from PDF. I have all the necessary updates and do not have any different languages in my form or in my form name. I even renamed my form but was still unable to open. How can I gain access to my form for edits?
