"Shrink to Fit" - Text Field capability?

Can Text Field object's be made to automatically shrink text to fit when a value is entered?

We are trying to migrate from a older different vendor product and we would like to keep/recreate this functionality within Adobe forms. In the older product, we set a global checkbox and it automatically handles all fillable text fields within the form.

A user will enter text and as the text exceeds the size of the text field, the text will automatically begin shrinking font sizes...

There are 2 examples.

The first one is a multiple lined textbox that grows with larger amount of content.

The second one is a multiple line text box that has fixed size but will change the font size to accommodate the amount of text.

You can download these forms and open in Designer to see the javascript behind the textbox.

You don't need javascript for this.

Just open the font palette using Shift-F4 and set the font size to zero.

The text will then shrink as the box fills.

Adding to T Maclean's solution:

Check if "Values" is selected by right clicking on the > button, and selecting Values.

Another way to do this is by changing the size in the XML editor to "0."

However, if the user enters too much text, the font size will become extremely small and impossible to read. I'm trying to figure out the solution to limit the minimum font size. Does anyone have any answers to this problem?

Solution to limit the shrinking font size.................

Use font 0 (zero) and use Object, field tab, Max Char. XXXX (enter qty).  Then try maxing out the field.  Adjust the number of Char to limit the shrinking font size.  Real easy.
